few years ago, the day after I moved out to Texas was the Duke-UNC basketball game. We didn't have cable yet, and the game was on ESPN.

My choices were, miss the game, or go out by myself (since I knew no one there yet).

I went out alone.

Mind you, I sure as shit didn't stay alone long, but it was a testement to my dedication to my alma mater.
