Anyone ever cut off a skin tag themselves?

Its weird, they are normally found in skin folds and on overweight or old people. This little thing cropped up on my lower ab area towards my obliques and there is like no fat there what so ever. I'm like wtf is this.

I'm thinking I'll get one of those wart freezing kits and freeze the fucker and slice it off with a razor. I'll disinfect it and sterilize the razor first, whats the worst that can happen?

Anyone done this themselves? I don't feel like going into a dermatologists office.
 
my cousin had one on his neck and freezed it. it grew back plus a few more like a gross patch of skin mushrooms. he then chopped one off and it was a slow bleed for a few hours. again it grew back bigger. fuck those things!!
 
and fuck you for your crazy ass threads. that one you made about dry skin on your lips. i noticed one on my lip and tugged it off ( i never do) and the fucker bled and burned when i ate/drank stuff.

Maybe I'll document this little adventure on video and post it up, not the gay meat up with mustang, but the freezing and slicing off of the the skin tag.
 
I see ads running here in South FL, 10 tags for $99.

I mean, WTF? Can't you just grab it with a bit of skin extra (to get the roots) and just rip it off? fuck man, get an exacto knife if you have to.
 
I get those in my armpits, and cut them off. If it's a skin tag, there's almost no bleeding and really no pain in cutting it off. I grab it with tweezers, pull it straight, and snip it off with sharp scissors. Maybe once every couple years, but I haven't had any problem with them multiplying. Why pay a doctor $ hundreds. I have one on my eye lid that I'll probably have snipped by a doctor. I don't want to mess around so close to my eye.

***IF I THOUGHT it were something other than a simple skin tag, I'd run to the doctor and get checked for pre-cancer, etc. Skin tags run in my family, and cancer (God willing), doesn't.

getting the IR straightened out got rid of any skin tags i had...

BUT, someone at work got rid of a few by tieing dental floss on em and leavin the floss there....

Id just wipe it with some betadine and snip it with some sterilized nail clippers...specially seein how its your skin and not mine

I had heard the "dental floss technique" along with the "hair technique" (take a long hair and tie a knot, leave it there, it will get dark and fall off....ewwww....)
 
I have established that OP is not in a gang and is not looking to remove a tattooed gang tag off of his skin, but am lost beyond that.

Yeah I tied some floss around it and went to sleep, woke up and its purple now FTW. I don't have any sharp scissors, might try the nail clippers and see how that goes.
 
So tying it off made it easier to snip and get to the base that's for sure. I used one of those wart remover compressed cans and the applicator to freeze the bugger, then snipped it with some nail clippers. Didn't feel a thing and got it right at the base. Didn't even bleed til the skin started to thaw but it only bled a tiny bit.

I felt like such a man after snipping it off. Kinda like if I got my arm caught under a rock and had to cut off my arm to survive, only slightly less manly than that. Still manly though.
 
Yeah thats why i was asking...i mean if a wart then yeah do the over the counter freeze thing..but anything else I think i would want a second opinion...that is why i was wondering what a "skin tag" was

I bought it to freeze it so I didn't feel anything, and it worked, i didn't feel anything.
 
Oh and I wanted to video it but the wife wouldn't let me. We had a good laugh over it.

Really didn't hurt at all, it was about the size of a booger after rolling it between your index finger and thumb for a minute.

Dude, man up, have your boy video tape you removing it. It didn't hurt. Now I wish I video'd it so you could have seen how manly I looked clipping off my own skin. If my back wasn't so tight I would have bent over and bit it off.

1) Take dental floss, tie it in a knot at the base, kinda tight, give it 6-10 hours or so and come back to it.
2) Go to the local pharmacy and buy Wartner Freezing Wart remover or any freezing wart remover. I know its not a wart, I felt better freezing it so it was semi numb, plus it turns pretty solid and makes it easy to grab with tweezers
3) Swab nail clipper blade edges with a q-tip soaked in alcohol, if the clippers are old get a new pair at the pharmacy for like $5. Toe Nail clippers are better since they are larger.
4) Follow the Wartner instructions and freeze the little guy, grab it with tweezers and pull it away from your body so you can see the base and slide the clippers over it.
5) Clip
6) Bask in your awesomeness
 
they are on the inside too my man. could grow back..

ive had a few in my life. real men just grab tweezers and yank them right out. bleed FOREVER but never comes back.

I had one on my ankle like last year. weird ass spot. was tiny but that fucker bled forever. kept growing into my socks so itd rip open every day.

i had a small 1 on my neck i just grabbed some alcohol rubbed it all up on there, sterilized some small sharp scissors and cut that mofo right off. bleed for a bit, this was bout two years ago and it never grew back
