Anyone else have a $300 cable bill every month!

I think I pay $59 for basic. I have Shotime for boxing and Dexter, HBO for boxing, not sure how much that costs.

I like low budget horror and sci-fi flicks so I get On Demand and I think that is like $20.

Cable internet is $60.

Wireless 3G Cable is $49.

Last bill was just a tad over $200 (just checked it). I watch TV maybe less than 2 hours a week. I catch an On Demand movie on the weekend sometimes. Internet is a must. The 3G is a must but I don't use it or I use it a lot (depending if I travel).

I wish we could pay for usage. I would get a deal.

what the fuck?

My cable and internet is included but it's just basic...so i pay $70 bucks a month and get every single channel and every on demand

$300, are you dry fucking me?

I think mine is like $120 or so

For internet, HD, HBO, etc.

You're getting raped

Add in netflix, xbox live, etc. and that'll add another $30 I suppose.

What provider is ass fucking you like that?

i pay close to 225, but i've got the phone and internet provided too. I don't even use my own connection, if it werent for my girl, i'd get rid of the internet and save some big loot.

Damn.. I have a fuck ton of channels(no premium ones anymore though)on demand, HD channels,DVR and high speed internet(10mb sec) and my bill is like $80.

We pay about $80/month for DirecTV, but if I had my way, I'd shut that off and just have rabbit ears. For movies, you can see just about anything you want on rental DVD or download it. For prime time TV, a $40 digital box, or a <2-year-old TV and a pair of rabbit ears will get you hooked up.

For those paying $200-$300, I think your cable providers have slipped you a few extras, and you need to do some negotiating.

Yes but mine has the net wrapped in the bill too and I charge it to the business card bwaahahahaaaaaaa :D:D
Just under $200 a month here, ditto internet and the land line phone (I actually have a phone that is plugged INTO the wall) and I write it off, too.

We have all the premium channels (except Cinemax) and their On Demands wrapped into it, and have to pay rental on the 3 converter boxes.

Its the only way to do it:D

I almost chocked on some of these prices,i get 188 chs on direct tv for about 78 bucks

148 bucks , interwebs, landline w/ unlimited long distance, cable with the science bundle (I like discovery channels...shoot me) hbo and cinemax....and theres never anything on

I've been stealing basic cable for 20 years, but they just did the switch to digital cable so now the only analog channels I still get over the stolen line are the locals and The Weather Channel. And WGN for some reason.

I've had to find illegal online streaming sources to watch the last three F1 races. But at least it's BBC1. For other shit I have to find it on Hulu.

F1 season is over now, Mad Men won't start up again 'til next spring, and SyFy cancelled Caprica, so I'm gonna wait 'til next March before I do anything. Maybe by then ATT's TV service will be available here.

TWC here too. $125 for cable with DVR, HD, all the basic, expanded, HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, TMC, Encore, music channels (like 1000 channels all active), internet, and unlimited land line phone.

I call them about every 6 months to bitch and complain about the ass-raping they are giving me for shitty service. How my cable internet always goes down and I have to reset the modem, how the HD signal gets glitchy on certain channels, and whatever else might be going on. They always do something. We usually get cards in the mail for free on demand movies, free showtime and TMC for a year was the latest, plus about 6 free on demand movies (the new release ones you have to pay like $5 for). Got 6 months free once.

lol

Frankly, nothing I have to say is so important that I need to be accessible 24/7.

All you cable and DSS people are welcome to come over to my place after the next natural disaster, and I'll dig out the rabbit ears and converter box, and we can all watch the news on a regular Sony tube TV with D batteries, and communicate with the outside world by ham radio ;)

:whatever: I have a converter box in my trailer. Hubby used to have a ham radio. Actually, my husband is like McGuyver, if there was a major disaster he's the only guy I'd really want by my side. He'd know where to find shit and make it work. I'd be his bodyguard :lmao:

We look at it this way, the "primo" cable is our only real indulgence. We very rarely go to the movies, almost never eat out, don't have a new car, the house isn't a showcase, we're not clothes horses and our idea of a fun vacation is camping in a state park.
