my buddies and I went down to the sand dunes which is full of awesome trails and four huge mud pits today, had a bbq hit some trails etc.

my one buddy broke his truck pretty early but the other guy made it all day with his stock pathfinder, which was insane, and at the end of the day we decide to hit the huge mud pits, which are like 3-8 ft of water depending on the hole, with thick mud under it, my one buddy made two sweet passes, then my crazy ass decides to take er right up the middle, I sunk the fucker up to the roof,we had to climb out the windows and sit on the roof till the tractor came. it was awesome.

I still have no idea how it fired up after being submerged for ten minutes but she did.

what a great time,Im gonna get me a cheap suv to bring next time, man I had a blast.

anyone else do this? if so what do you drive?

lol....i used to do this in my hometown back in HS....i lived on a lake and in the winter they drained it and the mud slinging was on!!

what did ya drive?

im planning to pick up a cheap beat up samurai for a few hundred bucks, they were lasting all day where most shit died quick

I sunk my chevy pickup 4x4 in a gravel pit up to the top of the dash and the only thing that happened is it blew my flasher fuse

i was out wheelin' till 4 in the am last night
i didn't have a winch so i was a little cautious
fuggin mudd was deep as fuck.
i need a suspension lift on my whip

i had a 1989 chevrolet full size 4X4....i didn't take it quite as far as some of those guys did....some fuckers would pull thier mud truck to the lake bed with their good truck because their mud trucks weren't street legal

thats what we did,my buddies trucks were not going to pass the emissions up here so they figured lets mud.

my one buddy had a ranger with a 6 inch lift,it broke early though the coil pack went, and we destroyed my other buddies pathfinder. Ill definately be towing the truck I get, just gonna weld a tow bar to it and away we go

I was born for it. But more recently got interested into rock krawlin.

93 Jeep Wrangler
FI 327sb
T400tran
Dana 60's front & rear
4:11 with DT locker in the rear.
5.5in RE lift and 35x14.50x15 Boggers on her

And a bunch of other shit that kill the wallet. She's my daily driver too. Maybe not for long with the way gas is going up.

Is that like a "rim-job"?

If so - "yes" I am

christ dude, thats a sick set up, I think rock krawlin is cool too,but for now all my poor ass can afford is to mud, plus I love getting dirty and stuck in the pit

It's all fun man. My only problem now is with the current set up, I don't get stuck any more. So it became less challenging heh. But it's still fun to go throw 20' rooster tails of mud baby!!

The best is when you have the top off the Jeep and you hit a big mud/water hole. The girl in the passenger seat has no clue why you just slammed on the brakes. Until she notices her tshirt just became see through :)

lol aint that the truth.

you ever sink it before? do you goto sanctioned places where they use tractors etc to get ya out of the pits?

and do you have any pics of that crazy sounding machine

I sank it before I had a lot of the mods on it. And decided to put the new engine in it, after I blue the IL6 trying to turn those tires in thick mud lol. It was a good and bad day, all in the same shot.

Yeah, let me get my ass going to Best Buy to snag a vid card for the other machine and I'll get it going and the pics uploaded dude.

JM

sounds like your into some serious mud down there man,but I guess sometimes alot of power is better for the pits

Running those 35 x 14.5's on the highway? Must hear you coming 5 miles away. I used to rock crawl, now I'm tinkering on a camarokee project, Found an 86 beater Cherokee with a 2.8L I'm converting to a 93 Camaro 3.5L, Still haven't decided if I am going with the XJ's throttle body or modding in the wiring harness for the Camaro's TPI.

I would be into it if I had the money and the time. It looks like such a blast.

Also those crazy Jeep magazines with the challenges of driving over boulders and shit.

Actually, that current pic of my jeep has some 38's on it. Either way, they all are loud as hell as hell. Can't even hear the damn stereo when the top is off.

I would go with the TPI man. A buddy of mine did that in his CJ and fricking loves it. Said it's extremely responsive.

Digimon- Is that a CJ in your gallery? I'm non plat, so all I got is mini pic. Either way, it looks nice man.

Yeah. It's got a 258 right now, I have a 304 on the stand in my garage but, I too am seriously considering the TPI route. The mechanical part of the conversion isn't to bad (Advanced Adapters) and the wiring part (Painless Wiring) isn't to bad either.

We call that color Trooper blue....Mich State police use that color....I have the same color.......Great looking Jeep!

just use my dodge right now. BUT, my baby is in progress. Getting a '78 chevy scottsdale for the sole purpose of mud roads, corn fields, and ditches. So I don't jack my truck up doing something dumb
