3 years ago I dated a hindi chic who I really wish I could have dated longer cause we had a very good thing going. We only dated 3 months, and had she not pursued a grad program in Denver, it is very possible things would have become a long term thing. She was 22 at the time and I was 27, and sometimes I find myself ruminating on what might have been had we tried the long distance thing. Very smart, warm, really was able to connect with all types of people, got along with everyone. Last time I touched base with her she was in a happy relationship, but anyways, Indian chics rock in my book.

You have to understand the indian culture. Marrying someone also means marrying another family. And most daughters/sons do not want to marry someone completely different and upset their parents. For them the whole process of marrying their kid is the next greatest pleasure in their lives after giving birth.

And ruining that pleasure would destroy most parents who have been looking forward for that day for decades. Plus it brings shame to parents from other parents.

That and most indian women/men don't even expect non-indians to find them attractive. Lets face it - they're not the most attractive people on the planet. They don't even exist in Hollywood besides stereotypical character roles. You shouhld hear the complaints I hear from indian american actors who are tired of playing comedians, doctors and terrorists. I kinda feel bad for them.
