Any Good Weight Gainers? (Extra Calories)

Alright I know weight gainers are crap in most opiions, but due to my job I really don't have the time/access to keeping up with a great diet (calorie/protein rich). So I've been looking at weight gainers for that additional "blast" of calories.

What is the best, most recommended weight gainer that you guys would "maybe" use? I trust your opinions since I've followed your recommendations before and gained a solid 14lbs from Beast. I am getting on Diesel this monday and want to do it "right" to get the most out of it- 3000-3500calories, 300g protein, creatine, eatig clean, tons of water, etc.

I am thinking the same thing. I am 56 years old and don't have a great appetite. I am starting my 4th cycle soon and feel like I am not making the great gains because of my diet. I do drink 2 protein shakes (Gaspari Myofusion) per day but I think I
need a lot more calories and carbs that I am taking in. My cycles have been test e and primo which states you need tons of protein for it to work. I would love to find a good meal replacment/enhancment drink.

I like Cytogainer. Not a ton of sugar like most weight gainers.
You can make you own with a nice whey base and add what ever
for extra calories. Milk,,ice cream,,yogurt,,peanut butter,,etc...
 
No supplement has a magical alteration of calories. Protein has 4 per gram. Sugars have 4 per gram. And fats have 9 per gram.

The key is to have the best protein, good fats, not leave you too full (so you can eat more) and creatine, which helps build water in the muscle).

In that case BIG BLAST is the hands down best. Nothing comes close. And it tastes better. End of story.

Beat me to it Nelosn. Big blast is awesome, and it tastes great. Cant beat that. Or the Fact that orbit has it for the cheapest price on the net.
 
I'll take a look at both. Big Blast is definitely talked up a lot so I trust it works. I'll toss an order I later today.

big blast + oats + peanut butter + more protein + whole milk + ice in the blender is the ultimate mass shake. if i wasnt a pussy id throw a couple raw eggs in there too.
 
1 cup milk, 1 scoop whey isolate, 2 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1/4 cup mixed berries, 1/4 cup raw oats all blended for a liquid wholesome meal.
 
any time shake:
2 scoop casien, 1 tbsp natty PB, 3/4 cup of oats, Add whole milk to the thickness you like.
***If its later in the day and I feel I need a shake I will leave the oats out and add a cup of liquid egg whites.

Before bed shake: (if I cant eat an actual meal)
2 scoops casien, 1 tbsp natty PB, 1 cup milk, 1 full cup of liquid egg whites.

Post work out shake:
2 scoops whey (currently monster milk), 2 tsp powder BCAA, 2 tsp Glutamine, 10g Super plasma protein (4 tsp), 2 cups milk.

The only time I personally use whey is post work out. I use casien all other times.

96g of Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free rolled oats
1 Tablespoon of flax seed oil
1 Tablespoon of unsweetened, natty psyllium husk powder
1 Tablespoon stevita brand stevia
dash vanilla extract
Cinnamon to taste
cloves to taste


740 calories
0 sugar
3.5g saturated fat
45g complete protein
12g polyunsaturated fats (which are great for the liver)

Oats in a shake? With water? With psyllium? Why not take that stuff separately and have a good tasting shake?

Man I don't know how you can drink that shit. I bought some and took it back after 1 shake. My all time favorite so far is needto's cinibun whey. Damn good and mixes nicely with just 250mls of milk.
 
NTBM Protein Bars kick azz for a lil extra Protein and Calories. Liquid gainer winners would be BIG BLAST and ProComplex Gainer from ON. Both of those are the sheet.

Who said I didn't think it was good tasting? I enjoy it.

Stevia is intensely sweet. Add cinnamon and cloves and it's awesome. As for the rolled oats, I like the texture it gives it.
 
Try this old recipe.

6 Eggs + Milk + Oats = 1000 calories with 40 grams of protein, good carbs and loads of vitamins.
 
^^^^Yep You'll get HUGE off of these. Plus you'll never get sick of bulking while on those damnded bars!
Ya like I told my workout partner how many calories were in it after he tried it and he was shocked. Because it wasnt filling yet so dense with calories.
 
I'm a big fan of Gaspari's Real Mass and Universal's Real Gains. Gaspari's product has 4-hydroxyisoleucine which will help with the insulin response and it also just happens to taste amazing and is high in protein. Add a banana or scoop of natural PB or almond butter to it and blend and you are in for a real treat!

Raw protein bars before bed and 6 half a pound burgers through out a day

Can't beat home made:
100g powdered oats
25g whey
Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Pint milk
And mix!!!!!!! :)

Doubtful. I don't know what youve been taking but n2bulk only comes in one flavor and certainly hasn't been out for over a year.
 
maybe arabian is talking about whey to build muscle?

n2bulk has a taste of cinnamon and yams. check the ingredients on it. I used 1.5 scoops before bed. great recovery and prevents catabolism.
 
I've had success with quickmass post workout only. A full serving post workout. Need2bulk has a far better profile but It wasn't out at the time .
