Any Financial Advisors Here?

I'm wanting insight on that field. I'm thinking of applying to a few of the big names....if anybody works for them, please let me know, AND what you like/dislike about them.

I have my own business, so I am self-motivated and creative, but I don't have finance experience in the traditional sense.

Being a FA isn't that much different than running your own service-based business.

I never entered the field because it looks like it would suck. The organization you work for will provide you with all the resources you need, but to make money you need to sign and churn clients. Preferably rich clients. It takes a long time and a lot of effort to get a nice client list.

Actually, many financial advisors are great people. Yes, the first two years or so are tough, but it can be very fun and lucrative.
