What do y'all consider extended? I ride form 45min to 90 min. My bike is a cheap Raleigh hybrid, with a spring in the seat post & a recession in the seat where the johnson sits.PICK3 said:So y'all don't have the prob of your nads hurting/going to sleep after extended periods on your bike?

PICK3 said:Does recumbants give the same cardio benefits as tradional bikes?
Huckster said:Absolutely. It's all a matter of pacing/the program you're running.I get a kick-ass cardio session every time with it,without all the discomfort that I get from a regular bike.Has the large, padded bench seat,so nothing's stabbing into my ass/privates.lol

Stands to reason that padded bike shorts being function specific will definitely help reduce friction and increase comfort. If you're still sore you can use a girlie gel seat cover to give extra padding although these will increase the width of your seat which if you’re sitting right only increases friction. Adjusting the seat to the correct riding position and simply using your bike more often will get your body accustomed to riding quickly. Recumbent bikes are just as good cardio wise but nowhere near as fun. See the cardio board for links.PICK3 said:I have a hybrid mountain bike that I've already switched three saddles on. If I spend more than 20 minutes on it my nads kill me.
Any suggestions? Do padded bike shorts help much?
