Any advice for a sick cat?

Family cat, 7 years old - male - won't eat, drink. Last 3 days been crying, moaning. Blood tests came back fine, but vet says kidney is round-shaped which is unusual.

Ultrasound tomorrow. 2nd opinion? Suggestions?

Not sure. I live far away from da fam. I'll find out 2morrow. Not eating or drinking is NOT a good sign. Vet should put him on iv.

I'll let the vet make that decision. I really wouldnt know where to begin when assessing a nonhuman. I love the fact that people can usually talk and tell me wtf is wrong/wtf they did.

We may have to force feed him via syringe or something or get vet to do it. If he doesnt eat or drink by tomorrow, he will die.

I love animals. Humans are stupid.

Same thing happened to my family cat years back. Turns out he had swallowed this 4 inch long, 2 inch wide rubber fake spider (somehow) that we had from Halloween or some shit. He couldn't digest it and his body was telling him not to eat anything else.

Vet had no idea what was wrong. Luckily, he vomited it back up after about 3 days or so (imagine that pain) - after that...all good.

It could be anything. 7 years is pretty young for a cat to die....

Vet's a moron. I'm ticked at my fam for allowing lazy vet to send it home after it hasn't eaten or drank in days. Dumbass vet just sent him home to die. Here they'd put him up in an emergency pet hospital to be taken care of 24/7 and fed.

Will probably find out more info 2morrow. They had better get some soup and water into Senor Sammy, otherwise he won't last another 48 hours.

Gotta be something digestive if the kidney is abnormal and most likely has much to do with the cat not eating/drinking. If they love the cat they'll bring it to someone who knows wtf they're doing!

I told them to bring it to a REAL animal hospital tomorrow and make sure they take him in to feed him. All vets I talked to her said this vet's a moron if he sent him home. Clearly he doesn't care if it dies. Probalby one of those "let's rush through as many animals in a day and make mucho $" type cheap vets.

I had an ass hole vet like that ,He tole me thay didn't mistreat animals here, well My champion Dog An alaskian Malamute I love like family ,I found he went against my word that i wanted to be there when she had heartworm treatment, each day he did it before i got there, the last day she didn't want to leave the cage so they dragged her out ,trying to administer the shot she bit him,he busted her nose, she died 4 hrs later after i took her home.

I contacted the national vetnarion association ,they showed him my complaint but! i wasn't allowed to see his reply.

I wanted to kill him, and to this day i still do. Maybe one day i'll get lucky.

She died cuz of a busted nose??? That's not a fatal injury.

Scratch his car when he's not looking. Pay some homeless/gangbanger to do it for ya.

I hope they can fix your cat.

A lot of times when they have kidney failure they get a bowel obstruction 'cause the stool is too dry, and they won't eat.

I was going to say kidney failure and constipation...Sounds a lot like the issues my longest living kitty had. They need to get your kitty on an IV ASAP, because if that's the case, that bowel blockage is only getting more and more painful.

UPDATE:

> Now that they have him they're going to put him on an IV for 24 hours to
> get him hydrated, do an ultrasound to figure out what is inside his right
> kidney which is enlarged, check his urine which was diluted last time they
> checked it (sign of kidney problems), and all kinds of other tests to find
> out what is wrong.

> He was at least more alert today and his fever went down and he ate a

-doctor called with update: there is NO cancer or tumour in the enlarged
> right kidney, but for whatever reason, his left kidney is shrunken, and

Not sure. Waiting for results if therapy works. If not, take him home, force feed him, hope he gets better I guess. :(

Senor Sammy. He was raised by monks in eastern mexico. He was trained in the fighting style of master sensei Juarez Flamenco. He become a mariachi and traveled all over mexico fighting evil guys and romancing beautiful women.

Then we adopted him and he started watching cartoons all day.

Latest news sounds like there's some hope for the little guy yet. I hope it works out for him, he looks like a great cat. But then I would say that, he looks just like my buddy Clyde (who is 14 years old).

UPDATE:

Senor Sammy came home. Stage 1 kidney disease so we have to keep him on antibiotics for 7 days, special diet from now on. No kidney stones and he's much more alert.

Yeah. I can go back to chasing slutty chicks.
