another question about poop

So my girlfriend and I were having a funny talk about color of poo....like when I ate too much cotton candy when I was a kid and it came out pink. She told me that last year, she had one that came out white......it was a one shot deal, but it concerned me. Anyone care to shed some light on the reason why this happened to her? She has been recovering from an eating disorder since then, I think it might have something to do with that.

Ah drink a lot of fierce grape gatorade or anything with blue food coloring.. if you have enough you will have bright bright green poop

White poop is usually associated with the liver production. This can happen occasionally with no real cause and no reason to worry. If it only happened once, I really wouldn't be concerned. If this is happenening regularly, I would encourage her to go to the doctors and have her liver enzymes tested.

I don't have a colon, so mine is allways whatevery colour it went in as. MAybe she ate something wierd?

White or light-colored stools is due to a lack of excretion of bile. Bile is stored in the gallbladder and is secreted into the small intestine in repsonse to food. From there, part of it is resorbed and recycled while the rest is excreted in feces. It is bile which gives stool it's dark color. Several processes can result in a blockage of normal bile flow and, hence, none is excreted. She most likely had a temporary blockage due to an asymptomatic bile duct stone which resolved on its own.
