I was determined to set a few PR's today with some extra weight on the events. I still feel pretty strong...

Seated GM's, feet out in front
several warm ups
387, PR!!!!

X-Tra Wide Sumo Speed Pulls
330 x 1 x 6 sets, 20 sec rest between sets

I then added a medium band hooked out in front of my body to force me to push BACK with my legs and push my hips THROUGH the bar when I pulled...felt nice!!!
190 with band pulling x 5 x 2 sets

Pull Throughs
heavy band x 8

Standing Calf Raises
warm ups
275 x 5 x 3 sets

Super Yoke
several warm up sets
800 x 25' in 7.56 sec, PR!!!
620 x 25' in 4.44 seconds

Farmers Walk (1.75" handles, much thicker than normal)
180's x 75' with 2 turns
270's x 75' in 10.00 PR!!!

Tire Flip (friend of mine lent me his 675 tire, fun fun)
Racing brian747478 for 60', he was using the 550 tire
short run with the 675
working on explosiveness
550 tire without using the knee
675 tire, one handed, 2nd set

Sled Drag (light, very light)
315 x 50' x 3 sets

Atlas Stones
310 x 1 to a 60" platform...very little tacky

Didn't have time to do reverse hypers, abs, and stretching...but Cheese, Nefi, and I did spend 2 hours at Ryan's directly afterwards:)

Give me a few minutes and let me post the pics and the rest of the vids...

We don't normally do this many events in a day, but brian747478 and Jason are both getting ready for a contest and need to do as many events as possible.

Race with brian747478...it was VERY close. On about the 3rd flip for me, I went to pick the tire up and it began to slide on my driveway...lol. I get so much leg drive FWD when I do the tire flip that it was actually sliding the tire...lol.

The 310 stone to a 60" platform. I had originally planned NOT to load it and Cheese was just to stand there and yell 'GO' when I cleared the top of the platform/tires. When I cradled it I knew that I could easily load it. I should have tried the 345 stone.

Not bad at all for a lightweight who has only been doing events for a couple of months... I swear...he is getting thicker everytime I see him. This strongman thing must really work for total overall body thickness ;)

Enjoy...

B fold: very cool.

But, you guys did have time to go Easter egg hunting, right? hehehe;)

Very interesting with the bands and sumo deads. May have to give that a go, sometime. And tire flips. Love 'em and hate 'em, all at the same time.

b-fold do farmers walks work the delts mainly?

Well, with the THICK handles they work the grip and forearms a lot. They also work the traps, upper back, mid and lower back, hips, and hamstrings a lot too...

With the strongman events...if you have a weakness somewhere...the events will find it for you QUICKLY.

My dog (Doberman) is 13 years old and has been VERY sick for the past several days. He has a kidney infection and a temp of 105. My family went to see the relatives and they ate A LOT of food and had an Easter egg hunt without us. I stayed here to take care of my son.

We (girlfriend and I) did cook for nearly 4 hours then we ate till we couldn't move anymore...lol. It pays to have 2 good cooks around. :)

Sorry to hear about your doggie, B. I hope he gets better. I do have a very soft spot for animals. We have five parrots - and they're our kiddies. So, I know how you feel.

Ah, yes. Niiiiice to have not just one, but two cooks in the house! Even though I like to cook, I now leave all that with my boyfriend, who's a chef. Food is a goooooood thing!

Hey B, I will make it down one of these days for sure. All we do is train for Bench and I really need to train legs and lower back and it looks like I could learn alof from you all. Hey, you are more than welcome to come to Fredonia sometime if you want to man. We lift in a basement but its fairly well equiped for what we do. We train monday and thursday afternoons at 5. Don't have to feel obgliated to come just letting you know your welcome.

I really am not a big fan of the bench press though...at all.
