Because
1, needles cost about 1/10th a penny
2. its asking for trouble
3. But I boil them and wipe them with alcohol and they are clean
blah blah blah. Great you want to inject your self with the above then feel free. I sure as heck dont .

Re-using a pin makes about as much sense as re-using a freakin' condom....

Man I can’t believe this was me 10 years ago. I thought the only downside to reusing needles was bacteria. I used to clean them nice and good. I had no idea this happened. Glad I have learned a lot in the past 10 years and luckily never got hurt.

my slinpins just arrived. i had 3 pins left for the past 2 and a half days :( first time iv ever done this. figure it was a subq injection so worst comes to worst the abcess wouldnt have ruined any muscle fibers!

Great post Nate, I know I have answered this question at least twice in the past couple of months on here from Newbs asking if they can reuse needles. Now heres concrete PROOF .

That is just crazy. If you can't pay to play don't play! However I have been guilty of drawing and shooting w the same pin in the past. Oh to be young again!

Insulin pens have needles that are 1/2" 30 gauge and are intended to be used multiple times. A friend if mine says he uses the same pin 20-30 times before replacing it (as instructed in the directions included with the pin). I don't buy the insulin pins wear out fast line. They are so thin that they penetrate even when dull.
