An ode......to my shorts...

My favorite gymshorts met their unavoidable demise tonight while gallantly soaking up the sweaty recesses of my undercarriage as they have done for so many years. They fought bravely as the hole in the crotch, like a blossoming flower of decay became, well, overwhelming.

This is very difficult. Please, please, no flowers or donation accounts. Just a kind thought will help to ease my pain.

Reminds me of my hubbies fav flip flop thingies. Those damn things were growing some wild ass funk before I tossed them. He got mad as hell at me too. DAMN THINGS STUNK LIKE A FISH MARKET ON A 90 DEGREE DAY!

OMG - I am in mourning for you gt I wear my favorite gym shorts (my only gym shorts) every day to the gym Got a problem with that? huh???

I fear the day when I must retire them....thank god it's a LONG way off......4 years and still going strong

I can understand what you must be going through, for I too lost an article of clothing, a sock.

Not to take away from Gym's sorrowful tale, but I though I'd open up and share that I bought a new pair of gym shorts recently. Oh how I adored them. They were grey with white stripes down the sides. I look back with tears in my eyes thinking of how comfy and stylish they were as I did both lifting and cardio. But alas, I accidentally threw them in with a load of whites, washed them on hot, dried them, and now they're way too short to wear to the gym. I guess they'll make good pajama bottoms, but it's just not the same.

Thank you all so much for the kind words about my shorts. And to you doubters and haters (*ahem...vb..cough*) well, I guess there are heartless people everywhere.

It's simply too painful to consider replacement shorts at this point. I've considered asking the gym manager to let my lift naked during this...this time of activewear mourning. But the laughing and pointing could prove more than I could bear. So I've decided to just wear other, lesser shorts that have in the past acted as substitute while my favorite gym shorts frolicked in the bosom of the gentle rinse cycle.

My lifts always go down in my lesser shorts, as will my spirits for a time. But again, your kind words will make a difference....a bright, shiny candle in the darkness of my shortsless existence.

Some Dink at the Y threw my shorts across the locker room when
I was in the Shower(see Nancy Drew thread for further details)

Lucky for me I found them before they were ShortsNapped.
I'm setting up a sting tommorow AM bitch!
