an inoffensive, respectful statement on the creation of the universe

Other than the MATRIX movie concept I have heard others mention the fact that since the brain is interpreting the world around us, what is it without that Interpretation?

Is our brains interpretation changing what reality really is?

When I read the fiction novel TIMELINE, it introduces the concept of reality actually being an Infinite number of realities.
Each different in some way. Each of these realities surrounds us.
We can only perceive the reality that we know as Life and Time.
In the novel they did not travel in time but were able to move to a reality that was still in the Middle Ages.

Is everyone experiencing the same reality?
Or are we each living in a seperate reality?

Well, I think we could ALL agree that their is a lot about the human brain that we have not figured out yet. On that notion, animals (humans as well) have things manifested in their brains from the day they are born, such as survival techniques. What if the concept of our world is just manifested in our brains, and it's never questioned simply because it seems to be "too" real. These are only thoughts, they promote vulnerable open mindedness, and they do not reflect my beliefs, cuz I have very few of those.
I'm just tring to get at why not question our reality, everything we think we "know" might just be a dream perse, and nothing real actually exists. I think about this kind of stuff when I'm out in the water surfing.

I hope that kinda elaborates a little better, I would be more than happy to talk more about this with any one who might pose similar questions.
I hear you, maybe its a part of the brain that wants you to think of these "illusions" or these "realities". I personally have to go by what I can see, touch ,hear, taste, etc. I know if I stand in the sun for 10 hours straight that I will be sunburned, the sunburn is not an illusion, that shit hurts. peace

This thread reminds me of a real good LSD trip I had when I was in high school.

I contemplated the meaning of life and the universe. I came to the conclusion that I was a god and my mind created life to humor myself, and the whole world around me never really existed. I can clearly remember my body dissipating around me and journeying through my mind. Thank god for Salvation, I use to be a lost pup.

Have you ever though about this? If the universe is truly an infinite space then there are people that look exactly like you and have done every single thing that you have done throughout your life out there on different worlds. Think about it. The same exact conditions that exist on this world must exist on an infinite number of other worlds. It is truly to complicate to even fathom.

Very similar to my train of thought, I think I would enjoy this book, who wrote it?
Havoc, I undersatnd what you are saying, and yes reality is as it seems, the sun does hurt, but what if the things we can see, smell, taste, hear, and touch are only a fraction of what reality really is. Again, I'm not tring to prove anything here just promote thinking about things.

Good points, I believe we can only experience a fraction of things in human form. Good thoughts. peace

you didn't like it? why?
Could not take Keanu seriously, looked quite gay, and the whole story was just ridiculous, sure the special effects were ok, but the whole movie as an entire package was not too appealing. peace

I agree about Keanu. I mean, you can only hear someone say "whoa" so many times.
