an inoffensive, respectful statement on the creation of the universe

Actually these style threads are fun...
Instead of bashing each other we ask questions that make one think.
Like:

If the Universe couldn't just have been around for ever, and it had to be created by something, Who created that something ?

My brain hurts !

seriously.. again.. in this thread.. i meant no disrespect to anyone or their views.. i simply wanted to know how certain people that hold certain views would answer such questions.. or if they've thought about these arguments to their beliefs..

that's all..

you're cool in my book y_lifter.. i'd give ya karma.. but it says i have to spread it some more.... i think i'm gonna go give mr. "i'm a hard core patriotic type but i'm too pussy to serve my country" some bad karma..

peace

maybe the universe wasnt ever even created and it's the end all be all encapsulation of everything, and has always been "there" wherever there is, and creation only exists within it? I know, hard to imagine something that has always been there and wasn't created, but just "is".

not that hard to imagine..

but.. answer me this.. where does the fact that star and planets are constantly being formed and dying and destroyed fit in? after all.. if pretty much everything within the universe shows some sort of life cycle.. some sort of vulnerability.. why should it not be assumed that the universe itself has a life cycle and vulnerabilities?

ok.. so since the universe HAD to be created by something.. and this something is god.. who created god?

i mean.. if something HAD to create the universe.. then doesn't it follow that something HAD to create god?

God has been and always will be, this is a universal understanding about God. God is not subject to time and space or anything for that matter. God is beyond everyones comprehension. Your deepest , most profound thought about God is not even an atom in measurement of what God is or about. You or anyone will never completely understand. Maybe God is a combination of liquids, gases, elements, matter, compounds, positive and negative attractions, etc. Who knows? God is a force though, a force or hand with supreme and omnipotent power and perfection. Another example is this, lets go back 7 million years ago, God existed then, however humans did not, I think its accurate to say that God is more powerful in a certain manner today because God is more saturated into the minds of humans, our thoughts, actions, etc also make God (in a way, not that we are a huge component or anything worthwhile, but humans play a role in God and what a God is defined as in all considered aspects). peace

Why not question reality?

Does any of this actually exist, or is it all just our brains facading an image of we want to think or believe. I have no clue as to what I'm tring to say, but it's a suggestion that I have toyed with every now and again.

Well, I think we could ALL agree that their is a lot about the human brain that we have not figured out yet. On that notion, animals (humans as well) have things manifested in their brains from the day they are born, such as survival techniques. What if the concept of our world is just manifested in our brains, and it's never questioned simply because it seems to be "too" real. These are only thoughts, they promote vulnerable open mindedness, and they do not reflect my beliefs, cuz I have very few of those.
I'm just tring to get at why not question our reality, everything we think we "know" might just be a dream perse, and nothing real actually exists. I think about this kind of stuff when I'm out in the water surfing.

I hope that kinda elaborates a little better, I would be more than happy to talk more about this with any one who might pose similar questions.
