Hey, I'm saying it is difficult as an attorney now. 45K wasn't enough for the work I was doing... for sheezy!!! If I was doing a regular 40 hour week, and didn't have bullshit, then yes... but for 65 hour week and tons of headaches, it wasn't worth it.

Yes, if I was in the top 10% I wouldn't settle for anything less.

LAPD starts off, with my education, averaging around 48K... check out their website... I'm not going to Dingleberry and be a Barnie Fife... detectives make up near 80K... where did you get this figure... 30's from???

I got figures from the 30's because Texas cops start out making 33-35K for the first 5 years or so. Having a college degree along with a JD will give you another 1,500 or so a year. Also, becoming a detective is easier said than done since pretty much everyone wants to do it.

Good luck though, with your education you would have an advantage over the rest.
