Couldn't that have happened? After the bad guys left, good people tried to help? There was apparantly very strong public support for the ambassador and against the murderers after this happened.

did you see the pictures dude? I mean this is self explanatory...just follow my links and see for yourself. So the "good guys" were so concerned about his well being that they hoisted his body up on their shoulders and walked around chanting alahu akbar?

Well, we know there were violent extremists who killed him. It is typical for the media to not show graphic violence or death, but they report on it, and you have to use your imagination a bit to kow how horrifying an incident like that must be.
But were there good guys who tried to rush him to the hospital? Without seeing a film of what happened in chronological order its really hard to make sense of it. One picture looks like people have their phones out and are taking pictures of him, which doesn't seem like what happens when you are trying to help...
If they die, then they die.
