Amazon.com problems

Not too bad but...

My buddy helped me out a few weeks ago. I know he wanted a certain ladder, So I bought it for him as a gift for the help.

I found it on Amazon on October 26th. They sent me an E`mail today saying there`s a problem and will not be shipped until as late as December 6th!!! wtf?

If it were for me I may wait, but it`s so geigh if I give it to my friend that late after I already told him I bought it for him (so he would`nt buy one).

Is this normal? How can it take that long?

I am having the same problem. I ordered a large rubber ball, (For making Atlas stones) and I've getton 3 emails telling me that "There is a problem, and it will not be shipped until XXXX."

The best part is, the mails also tell you that you can't cancel an order.

My last one said that if I didn't confirm the delay by Nov 7th, they would cancel for me. I'm waiting for the cancellation email from them, now.

I never really had a problem until now. It`s just that it`s a "thank you" gift for a friend and I gotta tell him to wait until December. lol damn!!!

I think they gave me the option to cancel. I want to find a replacement first.

I have never had a problem with them, but I have only ordered music or books. I think maybe they are starting to spread themselves too thin and trying to offer too much.
