Am I Immuned to Herpes??

I've been going out with girlfriend for over 7 months now, just recently she got tested for std's and discovered she has genital herpes, HSV-2. So ofcourse I assumed that I had it also and just to double check went and got a blood test. It turns out the test came back negative. I know she has not cheated on me and has had it the entire 7 months we have went out and we never use condoms because she's on birth control, I also perform oral and have never had any symptoms. So I'm freaking out cause i don't want herpes and was just wondering if it was possible that I could be immuned. I did some searching and i saw the someone posted a while ago that they thought they were immuned also, has anybody had any experiences like this or heard of anything? Any info is greatly appreciated

no, dude. you're not "immuned". she's prolly had that shit for a long time. if not, she's cheating on you. also, you might just be a carrier.....

What do you mean by a carrier?
you can only give it to others. dunno, i'd be careful if i were you. lest you wanna date girls who have herpes exclusively.

I would keep getting tested every 6 months,(talk to the doc to be sure) and a carrier means that you can have it and have no symptoms at all and still give it to other women. I think if you were a carrier though, you would come up poss on a blood test. it is time to start using condoms with her, if not you will get it eventually. Good luck

In a lot of STD cases people don't always show up right away when they get the virus. Take people with AIDS for instance, they can get tested for years without it coming up positive in tests. It is definitely time to start using condoms, I am sure she won't be offended. If she is, you shouldn't be with her anyway, she obviously doesn't care about your health and well being. I hope I helped.

Right, you are not immune. Please, though, the word is "immune." There is no such word as "immuned."

I think that it can only be spread when there is an outbreak, or maybe through an opening in the skin. I could be wrong on that. When the virus has an outbreak there are sores that appear and they ooze fluid that is full of the virus, much like when you get chickenpox. Chickenpox and herpes are both herpes viruses.
