It depends what you mean by 'alternate' [sic]. If you want a way to develop the strength you would by deadlifting (i.e., increase your deadlift without training the lift itself), take a look at the link below. If you just want something with the word 'deadlift' in the name, go ahead and do trap bar deads, but the consensus on them seems to be that there's little carryover to conventional deads.
