All about Deadlifts

i feel like these are stupid questions, but wtf:

1) do you deadlift on back day or leg day?

2) if on leg day, do you squat and deadlift in the same workout or just one or the other?

3) do you do more reg deadlifts or straight-legged deadlifts?

1. I don't think it's a very good idea to have a day only for back, or a day only for legs. So it's hard to answer that question...if I had to choose I would say leg day, since generally when you work your back with chinups and rows you are targeting the lats and mid-traps more, whereas deads work the erectors and upper traps to a larger degree. Your legs still have a lot of the same involvement in both the squat and the deadlift however.

2. I've done it different ways, there are a couple ways to respond:

A. In doing a Bill Starr style program, it's okay to deadlift as long as it's on your light squat day.
B. It's okay to do stiff-legged deadlifts and squats in the same session.
C. I wouldn't do heavy and/or intense squats and standard deads on the same day.

3. I used to do more stiff-leggeds, but lately I've been doing regular deadlifts instead. I would alternate (3 months each time, for example). Generally I wouldn't advise to do deadlifts, squats, and stiff-legged deadlifts all in the same routine (unless you're alternating the exercise, so that you're only doing 2 out of the 3 each week, for example).

well im a powerlifter, and do all kind of deadlifts on my back day. weather it be for speed day or ME day. i also use st legs on this day.

i never(rarely) have a day just for back, but i've always done legs by themselves. i enjoy doing legs, and i've always attacked leg day really hard so i'm usually very tired after doing squats, presses, curls, extensions. don't feel like doing anything else.

how do you split up your leg routine, Debaser?
