if we were "allowed" to take care of ourselves in this world, most of us would look better at 40 than we did at 20. But the world ain't set up that way..........somebody working 50-60-70 hours a week plus taking care of children and still "just" barely makin it...........ain't gonna look too good. If this was my world the work week would be capped at 40 hours, no exceptions.........and y'all would be forced into hormone replacement...........lunchtime workouts would be mandatory..........and there would be a 2 kid limit, anything over get's taxed...........no retirement age, you can work till whenever you choose.............give me a minute, I'll think of more............but the bottom line is that people would still be virile well into their 60's.

In America, I agree. But in Canada, we have a healthier lifestyle.
When I went to my 20 yr high school reunion, I was expecting to see some old looking classmates. When I got there, I did not see ONE horrible looking woman. They all looked fantastic! The men on the other hand all looked old.
I think woman today are just more conscience of taking care of themselves, even with the full time jobs and kids.

In the early 20th century there was no middle class in the US to speak of, that was a product of WWII, everyone was whoring to survive. A man didn't have the option of "marrying well" he had to make it on his own steam. hmmm...when I used to go out dancing in clubs with my sister, I got hit on just as much as the twenty somethings. LOL...you think that we just automatically lose our appeal at a certain age? You really have no idea what it's all about to be a female and who is hitting on us and who isn't. As long as women take good care of themselves, men continue to love them. Sadly, many men treat their women like slaves-- someone to watch the kids, the house, go to work, cook their food, etc. They don't allow them any time to take care of themselves.
