Adding sprinting into routine

I work my lower body twice a week, and I just started sprinting. I do my lower body weight training in the morning, and then I sprint on the same day in the afternoon. If I feel really burned out I just sprint at less intensity. I didn't want to do sprints an another day because I think I would burn out. I've done this for two weeks now - I already notice my legs getting bigger.

Here's my schedule:

Sun: Rest
Mon: am - DE lower, pm - sprints
Tues: Rest
Wed: ME upper
Th: Rest
Fri: am - ME lower, pm - sprints
Sat: DE upper

Do you think this will work okay?

Your split is very wise given the fact it still gives your legs the same amount of rest.

Thanks zander. I'll keep the split going as is. I know it might sound crazy to some hammering the legs so hard twice in a day, but my legs seem to recover fine.

Just be careful of your knees. If the muscles around them are fatigued the joint might be weakened and a bit less stable, sprints will give them a pounding.

Other than that, if you are getting gains and a form of active recovery, its all good!
