Adderall, Ambien, and Tripping

What's up guys. I had a crazy experience lst night. I was writing this huge research paper/film review last night for my term paper. I started at 8:30pm, where i tood 20mg of adderall to help me concentrate. Anway, 4:30am was rolling around and i realized that i should get some rest of i was going to go to the gym/ get up for an 10:00am class (which i'm currently missing due to feeling like shit). Anway, i was recently prescribed Ambien @ 10mg by my doctor to help me go to sleep (I'm usually noturnal). So i took the drug at about 4:30am and decided to work on my report until the stuff kick in. Well, 5:00 am rolled around and is started to feel really damn wierd. I mean, REALLY WIERD. Like my body felt everything, and nothing all at the same time. Than, i looked up at my screen and the words were folding into seperate fragments and floating about the screen. I looked up, behind my lab top, and the pictures of my hgigh school were coming at my, seemed like that were trying to fly of the the backboard. I didn't know what was going on, so i went outside itnot my hall to get a drink (I was damn thirsty), and noticed that the coke machine was melting ant that the ice was sliding down the machines front. Holy shit! I ran to the bathroom to check my pupils which were fine, but my face was kinda Canadian (ever see South Park?... no flame) and my eyes were huge, not pupils, my eyes were wide open. I looded at the bathroom floor and the tiles started to float and run under my feet. I then left the bathroom and looked at my door room carpet. The dust seemed to rise off the carpet in front eyes a float away in a swinging drift.

Can someone please explain to me what the hell happened to me last night?
Maybe the crazy phramacist dipped my ambien into a lot of acide? JK, Just a suggestion

Seriously, did you tell your doc that you would be taking aderol while taking the ambien? Maybe there is some sort of chemical interaction between them or something. I'd go to the doc and ask if that's the case. If he says no, I would have the doc test the ambien.

Where did you get the adderrol? Maybe someone gave you a roll by mistake.

Damn did you take any absorbic acid to make you trip harder or were you so fucked up you thought that you lived in a dream and you were going to eaten by crazy aliens? hahaha just kidding, pretty cool bonus if you ask me....

Ambien can cause hallucinations but usually at a higher dose. I had the same thing happen but I had taken 50mgs. The bed covers were moving and all types of wacky shit started happening. I do not think it was an interaction with the adderall. In the future, unless you like what happened, lay down as soon as you take the ambien. If you just lay down and go to sleep you will wake and feel fine.

Adderal can have too strong an effect when combined with substances that raise dopamine, nor epinephrine, or even seratonin levels. I was prescribed Adderal and an SRI (serzone) and had the exact symptoms you describe for a several months, those months being incredibly unpleasant. Most people just assumed I was a chronic weed-head on speed or something, it was that bad.

but my doctor prescribed both the adderall and the ambien

Well, now i know that i can both party with it and use it to help me sleep
it was weird to dixcover myslef tripping while finishing my term paper and 5 inthe morning
plus, i only tripped once before on mushrooms and this trip was like 5X stronger

both the drugs were taken 8 hours apart and at low doses

it wasn't the adderall that had a strong effect it was the ambien
It don't believe ambien is either an SSRI of an MAO inhibitir so i don't see why seratonin would have been a problem
what does ambien mess with, dopamine, nor epinephrine, or soratonin

Ambien is classed a hypnotic what ever that means. It works differently then old sleeping pill like valium and secenol. It definitly causes hallucinations though.
