Does anyone know if Acetyl-L-Carnitne powder carries a strong acetic acid smell-like vinegar? Is this normal considering there may be some acetic acid in the formulation of ALCar.
The smell is strong, but the company assures me that this is normal. They did a melting point test to verify that the product has not de-composed.
I thought that maybe the powder was exposed to significant moisture and hence started to acetalize, similar when ASA or Acetaminophen expires delivering that same vinegar smell.
Thanks for your help..
