Abscess Problem.......! Help...!!

My left glute is very swollen. There is no disclorization or markings guys. About 2 weeks (maybe close to 3) shot 3cc of test prop into what was some pretty thick scar tissue. Then shot another 3cc's in close range of where i shot the last one. Well there was no innitail pain.. but as the days goes by the pain and swelling is getting worse. The abscess is not "reaL" hard when i touch it and seems to be able to move a little. No redness. Im thinking it could possibly be the oil just moving out of the scar tissue or the prop crystalized in the scar tissue. I have just started using a heating pad on the area, it seems to take away some of the pain and gives me more mobility. I plan on going to the ER if i dont see any improvements by tuesday. Anyone had similar problem or have any ideas? greatly appreciated...

PS: Injections were done very sterilily with alcholol and new needles were used , im not a rookie , probably a million injections, so lets keep the flaming down, i know i shouldnt have shot 3cc around scar tissue.

3 cc's of prop ow i can relate i did the same in my delts talk about being crippled.
Its basically the alcohol causing alot of the redness ,also massage the area using a hot washcloth,do this several time reheating the w-cloth.
Keep an eye on it.

hey I just went through my first abscess. my symptoms were a bit different though. i had slight redness, hot to the touch, and swollen, oh yeah and pain. I waited about 3 days before I just sucked it up and jammed a pin into my delt and drew back to see what I'd get. it was blood with some pus in it, so off to the docs. But damn that's a lot of gear. did you say you shot 3cc and then near that location another 3cc? how far apart were they spaced?

Had an abscess last summer. Started out just a little sore, then began to blow up, big red mark right on my ass and hurt like a mother....finally went to the doc and had the thing cut open....talk about a painful experience. Have a huge scar on my glute now as a memory....good luck, best bet is to not wait around, go to you doctor.

hot and I mean very hot steamy bath twice a day will help
also ride a bike a few miles, stationary or real bicycle either one

The baths, ibuprofen, and working those glutes and legs on a bike will loosen the oil.

If it were an abscess you would have already had to go to the doctor or ER.

You would have a fever and feel sick if it were infected.

Jacuzzi, you'll look a little wierd if someone is watching you but put the jet right on it.

If it's not spreading or turning red with heat then you probably just ruptured a vein that will cause some discomfort. It usually doesn't surface until about the 3rd day and is gone by the 6th or 7th.

sh4dow, when my delt was infected I didn't feel sick or have any flu symptoms.
I went to the ER and used my HMO and told them it was B12, but my buddy told me he had an abscess removed at a local doc for something like $200-$250. for that amount, I'd definitely go see a doc just to be on the safe side. I'm glad I only waited 3 days, because the incision was much smaller than ones I've seen for bigger infections.

I am bro, Its went from golf ball to baseball so im praying the worst is over and I'll start seeing some improvements, 800mg of aleve helps a lot too....Im even having trouble getting my jeans on cause my butt is so big..lol. Thanks for checkin on me RADAR, karma to you pal
