AAS Effects on T-Level Labs?

Power36

New member
Hi,
Please excuse the ignorance, but do AAS show higher T levels if you were to get labs done while in the middle of a cycle? Im on HRT and was about to kick off Primo+Anavar in addition to my regular protocol, but my current labs came back with lower thryroid levels and elevated liver enzyme levels (AST/ALT). He said nothing dangerous or destructive at all, but he wants them lower so gave me a ton of milk thistle, and I am already on lots of NAC and ALA, with tons of other anti oxidants that come in most liver support formulas. Also he may order some Liv52 since I mentioned it to him. So he is bumping up my thyroid dose, and wants to see my liver levels in 2 months....so since he wants to check liver and throid again in two months he said we might as well chect Test levels again too...

so....taking the Anavar is out of the question I guess for now if we are checking liver levels, but I was wondering if I could hit the Primo, or does it translate into crazy high Testosterone levels on blood labs? Otherwise looks like I gotta coast two months on my regular protocol before hitting the Primo/Var...I also was going to bump up my T to 500mg week, but might have to stick at 200mg for now...

Opinions? Hit the Primo, hold off on Var, or hold off on Primo/Var until next labs then hit it?

Thanks

Don't take anything if you're having lab work done.

Copy that thank you sir!

I kinda figured that would be the answer....have been so excited for the Primo+Var.....but will just use this time to cut more BF% I guess and continue to get better, which Ill rationalize will make the Primo+Var time more effective...

Well he said its not horrible but if you understand labs ill put down what it says:

AST (SGOT) 52 IU/L, reference range is 0-40
ALT (SGPT) 76 IU/L, refernece range 0-55

FYI I was not on any oral AAS, only GH, Test, Thyroid, HCG, and Deca.

We were trying to determine if any supplements I was on could be causing it, but if I had to list all the supplements I am on right now it would take an hour....but maybe it would be worthwhile to write them all down for my own records, and get any input from you guys. This board/forum kicks ass. I appreciate all you guys and your knowledge/experience.

Ok, that's better
from my experience of having blood work done every 3 months on HRT these numbers are on the high side. Something does not agree with your liver.
I have done a lot of gear and after few weeks these numbers were no where near where yours are so, my thinking is that is not the gear but I bet is one of the suplements you are taking.
List them if you have the time maybe we can get to the bottom of your problem

BTW...limit your supplement intake to your multi and vit C, and stuff like this, too much of a good thing is not good for you after all!Remember, all this stuff goes through your liver so The more you take the more your liver has to work!!
Do you drink?

No I do not drink...dang Ill list the supplements later today then for you hopefully...im on a TON...I swallow like 50 pills a day or more....its all stuff from the doc for my various issues, adrenal fatigue, immune system was beat up too, recovery from surgeries, etc....but now that I want to do AAS here and there in additioin to HRT, I better get this figured out!

Liver Support with Milk thistle and other herbs

Sometimes in my shakes Ill put 5mg Luecine powder from Biotest and Superfoods from Biotest (just using up what I have). Also use Biotest’s two versions of Essential Fatty Acids, but once Im done with bottles I have switching over to brand my doctor gives me for obvious financial reasons.

I also do Muscle Monster Milk shakes and other whey shakes, all depends what I have on hand.

Injectable B12 Methycobalamin 3x week
Injectable Vitamin C and Gluathione daily, but will be switching to nutrional IVs soon with bigger doses of C and Gluathione

I think I got it all…maybe not…did my best to go through my counter top!

Wow again, i was expecting a few supps but you take the whole pharmacy..j/k
Listen, im not sure about your medical condition but the DHEA and pregnenolone could possibly be the main reason why your liver values are elevated.
On the other hand im starting to question your doctor because you take DHEA mostly to increase testosterone but you are taking test anyway so not sure about why take it additionally.

To tell you the truth you are severly overmedicating yourself, IMO. Like i said i do not know your medical condition fully but even so you are already taking testosterone, HGH, HCG and thyroid meds all these combined are more than enough for HRT.
Im on HRT too, but when it comes to supps I only take Vit C, multi Vitamin, magnesium/potassium and fish oil and I feel like a champ.
As far as the other things are concerned I take just like you Test, HGH 1 IU EOD, and HCG few times year for few weeks.
Your body will never level out if you keep adding these supps on daily basis.
I would take a hard look at these supps and IMO try to eliminate them from your diet. Stick with test/HGH/HCG and the thyroid if you really need the thyroid meds. A multi vitamin, and Vit C and some fish oil should round up your protocol.

BTW, I would not recommend staying year round on HCG. I believe that cycling it works best.

Ive been pounding supplements my entire life...never ever ever had high liver values, and get them tested every year...and for 3 years I was on high dose pain meds, sleep meds, muscle relaxers, etc and no liver issues...I also have taken the harsh pro hormones in the past with no probs....so its strange that while on all supplements for a good 3-4 months and no meds, my liver values go high on me....right before I was gonna hit some Anavar and Primo...

Maybe its the nootropic supplements and DHEA/Pregnenolone? Many of the anti oxidants I am on (NAC, ALA, etc), are all things that are in liver healing supplements.

sounds like overkill to me however everone is different and has special needs but as a healthy person If you have your diet dialed in properly ,you would not be needing all of that,My intake for the day is Protein,a good multi-vit/mineral,gellatin and wholesome food, on cycle i add ALA,milk thistle and b-12 for workout energy and some products here by our sponsor ,depending on the cycle.

Thanks for the input. Im going to start weaning off some of the stuff. At first it was all needed, recovering from 3 years of severe infections, adrenal fatigue, hormone and immune system shot, and on probably 6-8 narcotics consitently and overmedicated on anti biotics by more than one doctor...so we were aggresive with supplements and got me off all medications within a few months, and most of them were highly addictive prescription meds...so Im happy to say the least, but cant be having high liver values! Plus it throws a kink in me wanting to cycle!!

Id love love love to try some of the supplement from our sponsors, would be very interested in that...but money is tight, and since all of the above supplements I get from my doctor, insurance covers them...so for now I take what I can get, once I get healthy enough and back to work, I can save up to play with some of the supplements from our sponsors which seem very interesting!

Well it seems that there was a good reason to take some of the supps you were taking but I do agree with you now to slowly come off of them is not a bad idea. I have heard that DHEA messes with your liver values. At the same time HGH will make you more sensitive to supps and meds alike. Too much HGH gives me high blood pressure for example so this is the reason that Im saying to weed some of the supps out then is easier to figure out which one is causing the liver issue.
