a strength training decision

F THEM AND WHAT THEY THINK. If you're eating and growing and putting more and more on the bar with regularity... sooner or later they'll be staring in awe while their asses are plateauing on the same weights.

I would if I had the extra cash! I have just enough to buy shoes and thats it :(

I'm actually kind of nervous about getting the shoes too because they look so strange.

I already get strange looks when I bust out my microloading chains :/

lol, I like you're attitude. you're right :D

the only thing I'm worried about is people becoming too curious about my routine and possibly trying it out! then I won't have the squat rack to myself anymore :(

So I ended up just getting the 2gb ipod nano. It's so easy to use and looks pretty cool too :D I'm happy with my purchase.

Now I'm just waiting on glenn pendalay's reply so I can order his shoes out here to Canada :D

you bought the nano dude? I f'in hate my 2gig, ya' it looks cool on the outside, but it freezes up on me alot of the time and it stays there since there's really no way to open it to take the battery out. plus i hate the iTunes, you just have to make sure you have all your songs that you want to put on there, because there's no adding or subtracting songs, like if you hear a new one that you like and want to add it. well, maybe you can get your money back, buy yourself SS and PP, you definitely won't be disappointed, and just get some less expensive mp3 player where all you need is a couple of playlists for your workout. that would be my option. and just get yourself some chuck taylor's for like $40-$50, instead of going $90-$100 on those other shoes.

well i was under the impression that olympic lifting shoes were the best for olympic style squats? chucks are more for deadlifting and powerlifting type squats ?

I'm just a cheap kinda guy, anything would seem to do for me. Hell, I shop at wal-mart for my clothes and I workout barefoot. but to each their own.

I have chucks which are great for DL'ing, but for deep oly squats you kinda need to proper shoes. Makes hitting depth easier. Have to agree with you on the nano and itunes though, I never use em. Nothing wrong with walmart clothes!!!! I've gone through so many sizes lately its the only place I can afford for work pants.

some day you will all learn that its not about what's playing on the radio that pumps you up. i've hit more PR's than I care to count when something like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync or some country song was on the radio.

its all about what's inside you. not what surrounds you or what's playing in the background.

P.S. screw buying special shoes. get yourself a pair of Chuck Taylors. what are they these days $30-40.
