Last Friday during the European Day of mourning EVERYTHING closed here in Ireland except a little pub in Dublin. It unfortunetly doesn't have a website for you to visit, but it's 'The Porterhouse' in Templebar, Dublin 1.
Last friday it was the only pub to open it's doors to the public, with all it's employee's working free, why ?. Because the owner's, management and staff gave all the proceeds (every single penny) to the NYFD widows and orphans fund !. I haven't any idea how much money was made from the bar and wages but they opened their door's at 9am Friday morning to 3am Tuesday morning so the proceeds would be substantial.
Just thought I'd throw that in guys. If anyone of you guys are every coming over here and want to have a pint there drop me an e.mail and I'll drink you under the table !.
Peace
