A question for the guys....

This might not be something that most want to discuss - but I want to get a general overall opinion ...

My son - now six - is having some real issues with his "winkie". He was circumsized at birth but either it was done wrong or it started to grow back. In any event I have a big decision to make... either get him cut again or let him have an elphant trunk.

Who's cut and who's not? If you aren't is it hard to clean and have you gotten any infections? I just can't see him going through all that pain for nothing.

Thanks.

It's called soap. I don't see the problem. It's the kid's choice to make, so if it grows back, let him make it.

I vote Elephant Trunk! I mean he is six and doesn't need to experience that kind of pain.

I hear its pain full as hell.

So I would at least consider that.

I would get a doc opinion --- wouldn't want the guy ending up losing an inch or two.

I think I am being a bigger baby about this than he is. Then again, he doesn't really know what all is involved. When they are a baby it's snip snip snip - when they get older it is a little more complicated.

thanks for the comments so far.

Hey Shelby,

I have to ask.. Why did your baby doctor not notice this before?

My best pal has a son and she never knew that she was suppose to "take care" of his winkie when he was a baby. IE: You have to pull back the top after each diaper change and make sure that it's healing proper.I never knew that either...Thank God I had a little girl!

At any rate, she had him "re-done" at 5 year's old! Needless to say, HE WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!

I'd say get him cut.....he's gonna get made fun of when he gets in high school and he's the only one not circumsized

I would say get him cut as well. Most men are cut and he is going to feel awkward about it later in life, probably at the most difficult time in his life to begin with. You wouldn't want something like this to keep him from playing sports or something because he won't shower with the guys.

At this point it will probably hurt as bad now as it will when he's a teenager. I say wait until he grows older and let him decide. I'm cut myself but I've heard that there's no truth to there being an issue with infections and hygeine in uncut men.
