Hayez corrected me and helped me steer clear of a giant pitfall i was heading to. I was going to bulk for 14weeks and cut for the next 6weeks in the same cycle as i didn't know that bulking and cutting cycles were supposed to be done at different times, individually...

Why? I mean, when one is on a cutting phase, the steroid in question is taken to maintain muscle mass while going on a caloric deficit in conjunction with loads of cardio and at times using substances like Clen & T3, right? If one cuts in the same cycle as a bulker, why is it wrong?

Isn't the AAS there to maintain and save lean mass?

I'm not being cheeky here bros...this is a genuine question and i intend to learn. Please guide me.

Well, I myself cannot answer that question without knowing the compound ,your age,training history,weight,bf ratio , diet and such, same questions your DR would ask you

Well, i'm running Test E 300mgs ew & EQ 600mgs ew for 15 & 16weeks respectively and have kickstarted the cycle with tbol @ 90mgs for the first 6 weeks. I've been training steadily for the last 6 years. I'm 36, currently weigh 195lbs, am' 5 ' 10. I guess i must be around 16% bf. Diets tweaked to perfection...bang on. Protein 300gms ed. 40/30 carbs : fats ratio.

If you're planning a caloric deficit in conjunction with loads of cardio and at times using substances like Clen & T3 ,you can preserve muscle-To an Extent, however if your diet is dialed in why resort to Clen & T3 when Morning cardio on an empty stomach would basically achieve the same thing with better results and you won't have to worry about burning muscle .


so i guess the answer to your question is making gains and bulking two different things? Yes They are.

you can make gains while cutting, but its hard to really bulk up 20-25 lbs and be cutting at the same time

problem is you just spend 3-4 months building mass..to go and start dieting right away instead of trying to maintain what you just built your going to lose alot of the gains..ever see how quick it is to lose strength after a cycle? throw in cardio,lower calories its a sure way to lose them

i dont think hes saying to cut during PCT...he means half a cycle for bulking and then start cutting...then eat to preserve your mass when you come off...

i wasnt talking about pct...
 
how long would u recommend "holding onto ur gains" before they "stick" and u can cut?
i would run the cycle fully..run pct..recover...once you feel back to normal then cut..if you bulk up make gains then go on a lower calorie diet you may hold onto the strength on cycle but once them drugs are out of your body and you not feeding it your gonna lose alot of what you work so hard for...once your body holds the mass and you continue with your routine after recovery and your maintaning then you can think about it

how do you feel about the following scenario:

12 week cycle, long ester

bulk 6-7 weeks
cut till last inject.

get on slightly above maintence diet after last inject.

this way you would eat to preserve your mass before the test has left your body

During pct ya. But during the cycle no.. It is very easy to do a bulk up then cut up cycle. Then run into pct.

Yes it is better to do it the other way.
 
Hmm...although this routine of bulking - maintaining & then cutting may be a longer one in comparison to bulking for say 10 weeks and then cutting for the next 6 or 8 before pct, this could be more beneficial in holding on to more muscle. I'm going to follow Hayez on this and see where it takes me.

But in any case, i'm not on an all out bulking cycle. My cardio, diet, protein are all spot on and although i observe a wee bit of fat coming along, i can bear with it for 4 months or so and then go for an all out cutter...lets see...
