It's important to always have a goal when training if you want to gain the best way,for example when bulking,the goals should be as high as possible yet realistic.
(Just wanted to remind all of you)
 
to add to your statement, you should know your gear to be able to set realistic goals. i see some bro's posting something like a clen and winny for a bulk cycle asking if they will put on 30lbs.
