I know I can gain the Bad weight. I am eating like 200g protein and 3000-3500 cal a day. I can easily put on fat but in the gym when I am training, and it is a good workout routine, i can not gain muscle at all. I get stronger in my lifts but there are no results that you can see. I have been lifting for the past two years very hard and focused. I dont know if it has something to do with being very small boned.

This is just a stab in the dark...But have you been to a doc and had full bloodwork done, including sex hormones (Free/Total T, Estradiol, LH, FSH)? You say it's easy for you to put on fat but have a hard time building muscle....To me, it sounds like your natty T levels could potentially be low; no matter how much you eat and workout, if your T is low you will have an extraordinarily hard time building muscle mass.

And everyone is right...eat eat eat....I've changed up my diet and am packing on pounds...Fat is definitely a part of this, but there'll be time to burn that off down the road.

Just a thought...

The first thing I would say is lay off the cardio. Secondly gaining weight is about math. If you eat more than you burn, you'll put on weight. The trick is to making sure its not all bad weight. Don't worry about being cut up, put on the fat and muscle, then cut the fat. Or you can dial your diet in perfectly and you can minimize the fat gain.

There is absolutely no need to lay off cardio, unless he is doing it excessively.. 1/2 hour 4-5x a week is ok! Nothing wrong with keeping the heart healthy..

eat eat and eat. i came on here and these guys taught me all about eating. the gear makes no difference at all. i pick my gear with regards to side effects not how i think it will make me look cause i know its all diet. i eat 2lbs of steak and about 1lb of chicken ed. no more shakes no supps just good ole beef and chicken. i have put on 15 lbs in the last 2 months doing it. i was eating 5000cals that consisted of oats pasta shakes and mrp's. wasn't gaining and took advice to just eat meat. there is nothing like it. i can show you pics of me at 6 3 145 and pics of me now in my avi at 190. all lean mass at about 6.5bf, i actually just got measured at 7.5 by the people of health plex medical center and workout facility. when i was 6.5 i was only about 174 lbs.

No offense, but what type of body did you have before training? Aren't you around 5'9"? Trust me, it's a whole different ballgame when you are tall and very thin. Just speaking from experience here. When you are a true ecto, you have stamina limitations, metabolic limitations, and just an overall special need for more calories and less movement.

I just strongly believe that cardio is counter productive for a person in his position. Again, no offense, you obviously know your stuff as I'd love to have your build, but this my two cents.

on top of the 5000 + cals/day (which means you should be eating every 2hrs from morning till bed)
Ihulk also recommends 500mg/week of Test (either SUS or Test-enth). Assuming you've never ran a cycle before just stick with test and see how you feel. At your weight/height ratio you have tremendous gains in front of you.

The test should give you more food cravings, increase your strength and help build some foundation. The weight will come eventually.

you can go to hardees or carl Jr.s and eat 2000 in one combo. There are also weight gainers that have loads of calories. I prefer weight gainers that are 600 cal more so than the 2000 calorie ones.

Exactly! low intensity cardio will not hurt and keeping a healthy heart is especially important when on AAS as your blood pressure and lipids are usually out of wack! Just got to eat a little more to compensate :)

I would also suggest as PWTurbofan did to get blood work done. Here's an example of what my diet would look like if I were in your shoes:

You must eat every 2-3 hours max!

Meal 1) 2 cups of oatmeal mixed with whey or weight gainer, 16oz whole milk, 2 slices of whole wheat toast w/ natural peanut butter

Meal 2) Either steak, chicken, or hamburger, fresh fruit or veggies, 2 scoops of natty peanut butter, 16oz whole milk

Meal 3) 4-5 slices of meat lovers pizza, 16 oz whole milk

Meal 4) Turkey/chicken/ or tuna sub on whole wheat, 2 scoops of natty PB, 16 oz whole milk

Meal 5) 8 Whole eggs w/ cheese(eat the yokes!), sweet potato, veggies, 2 scoops natty PB, 16oz whole milk

Meal 6) 1/2 a carton of whole cottage cheese, 2 scoops natty PB, protein shake mixed w/ whole milk

Add in additional protein shakes if needed. Also can sub in almonds for some of the natty PB. If possible have a weight gainer shake ready to go in the middle of the night when you get up to piss.

Lift heavy and get plenty of rest. Don't over train, 3-4 days a week with heavy basic movements is plenty. If your going to do cardio, keep it to 20-30min 3 X week max.

Good luck!

hey listento mr x but also keep this in mind. should be eating at least 1.5g of pro per # of bdyweight so even at 170# would be a MINIMUM OF 250g of pro a day plus more cals

I was very thin before I started training, 150-155lbs my senior year in highschool. Im around 240 now, 5ft10in.. Anyone tall can still do low impact cardio for the heart, it doesnt need to be all out intense. He wont lose muscle tissue doing 1/2 hour sessions. He can ride the bike or even walk.. I prefer to do the eliptical. Ive been doing 45min sessions 4x/week.. Im a strong believer in keep the heart healthy, wether it be a light walk around the track, or walking stairs. But yes, I will agree with you, doing too much can be counter productive..but 1/2s, at low impact will be ok!

Ok now that I have all the new diet information, can you guys start talking more about what I should be doing for workouts? How often, duratioin, rest days. Sets, reps, all of that fun stuff. And what exactly the excersises are that I should be doing with this new diet! Thanks Brothers!
