5x5 question

Hi, this is my second run thru the 5x5 with great results the first time, On monday July 4th, will be the start of my 3rd week vol phase. Since this is the 4th, my gym is gonna be closed. I was gonna move that day to sunday, but the gym is also closed for the holiday. Any suggestions of what I should do to make up for this lost day? I'm a little concerned because it will be my PR Squats day.

It sucks but if there isn't another gym or alternative either rephase the days completely to T/R/Sat for the remainder of the loading (you can switch back in deloading by using the 2x option in week 5). Another option if you are really wedded to MFW is to do it on Tuesday and obviously get hammered back-to-back with the Wed workout. Maybe scale back the Wed squats a bit if that helps or just gut it out and deal if it's not too bad.

Public holidays suck. I've been lucky at my new gym since the owner opens up for three hours mid-afternoon on public holidays. It gets crowded but at least I can get in there.

The one option you must avoid is missing the workout at this stage of the loading phase.
