Hello. I'm 32, 5'9" 175lb training for 2 years now. I'm not sure what my bodyfat is. Waist 31.5", Biceps 16.5" unpumped, chest 41.5, legs around 22.5 (need some size increase). I havn't seemed to make much progress over the past year with respect to size. Strength has increased though.

Phat quads hun! :p

Great work...how's your diet, protein intake, carbs, supplements, all that jazz?

Your bf % can't be too bad...10-12%...Whatcha think, boys?!?

Wish you had full body shots from the back so we can look at your hamstrings :(

You vary your workouts, right? (ie negatives, drop sets, supersets, max reps...?)

Keep up the hard work, you look good :velvett:

Nice job dude. What sups you taking? What training regimen? How many calories per day? Thanks

Yes. Natural. I spend the whole day preaching natural stuff to my patients so I have to practice what I preach. I think I spend too much time cutting out the calories (slow metab) and not enough time increasing mass. I have a rehab clinic that I work out in primarily using a cage and some other good equip. We have sun 10 months out of the year here. For that reason I tend to not want to put on too much fat. Anyone have a guess as to my BF percentage? That is probably the reason for not steadily increasing in size. Maybe it's impatience.

I train four days per week. Low reps primarily 5-8. Lots of barbell and dumbbell compound movements. I'm just now getting to the point where I'm training my legs properly (squatting harder and deeper). I do around 10-12 sets for large and 8-9 for small. I havn't done many supersets, negatives, etc. Also, I train alone.

Diet is clean right now. Protein is probably 200-250g daily. Six-seven meals. Lots of whole grain stuff. I use whey isolate, carb supplements, creatine, BCAA & glutamine. Multi vits & Udo's oil(recently). Typical food for me is oatmeal, whole grain breads, nonfat cottage and milk, peanut butter, lean steak, beans, chicken breast, pastas, tons of grain cereal like Puffins, protein shakes, weekly pizza, fish.

It's hard staying 100% natural knowing that my age may be working against me soon and progress is probably going to be slow because I started late and had no muscle as a teenager. My nickname was often associated with my absence of a chest or muscles.

I appreciate any comments, suggestions, advice on the plateau, or maybe some diet/supplement suggestions.

Good job bro I am actually like 5 lbs heavier than you and 5'6" with around the same bf maybe a tad lower than yours and people always tell me I look at least 200lbs but my bones are tiny.I have really thin wrist and I am short so that makes the weight look like its a lot more. You definetly look bigger than 175.

You look like me. It's freaky, even the hair! No tats for me though - K for the work!

How much cals are you intkaing every day? Are you a repetitive eater or do you throw high days in every now and then? Remember, you have to gain weight to put on mass, I know about the year long summer, but maybe work on a fall and winter program and strip down to a new, bigger you in the spring ;)

Also, I train alone.

A training partner might help you push past plateau, spot you when you go heaviest and help you past the muscle exhaustion threshold...But you look great! How old are you, if you don't mind my asking?

Looking great. Keep up the good work. Don't worry about the pounds. You have a great lean look that the ladies love. Nice size too!

You in austin?

I'm way out in deep South Texas.

I probably range from 2000-3000 right now. Our winters are short and I may go up to 3500 or so. On Fridays (family night with the kids) I'll eat most of a large pizza or something pretty bad (usually Italian). Other days I'll lighten up. I focus a lot of attention on post workout shakes to load up.

If I weigh myself during the day without much food intake I'm around 180. My bone structure is pretty small. I have thin wrists and hands. I think my weight would go up quite a bit if I grew my quads and hams.

Thanks. I've been dieting a bit and adding a bit of cardio. The night before I had a get together with BBQ & a bit of drinking. That wasn't a diet day.

What does my BF % look like? My waist is 31.5-32".

Your abs are visible and your quad separation is good (gee I just love your quads :p )...I'd say somewhere @ 12%

Screw the quads, I want his back! ...in a heterosexual way of course

Thanks for the positive comments. From measurements, I think my BF is around 10% or so. Maybe as high as 11-12. My shoulders have been growing well recently. I'm focusing a lot on heavy presses like seated DB presses using 85-95lb DB's and heavy one arm lateral dumbbell raises. As far as my back and traps go, my traps grow without much direct training, my back is probably growing better becasue I primarily use heavy low rep barbell rows, weighted chins, heavy pulldowns, and partial deadlifts. I'm starting to focus a bit more attention on growing my legs, upper pecs, and shoulders. On the down side my life is busy enough to keep me from getting enough sleep to grow more. I was getting to the point, a couple of years back, where I was growing a pot belly and double chin. My wife's, and others, comments about Vin Deisel gave me motivation to train.

Now that I've recently cut out the cardio and increased my calories, I'm weighing around 180-185 at the same BF% (same waist measurement, etc). I'm trying to increase the calories, and intensifying my workouts while shortening them. I want to get to aroud 190 with abs still visible to some degree but it may be either a very long process or wishful thinking when doing it naturally.

I must have been dehydrating or too carbed down when I was weighing in at 175. I have the same waist size now, same condition (a little fuller), but weighing in at around 185. I'm amazed at how my quads are filling now compared to the pics. I've cut out most of the treadmill work.
