I really am not the one to ask about real estate in north Florida. My area southeast Florida is a whole different ballgame. What i will tell you is take caution when trying to time the market. Whether it be stocks or real estate generally the public is dead wrong. 5 years ago people were waiting for our market here to slow down, well since January alone prices have risen 30%! What i do know is that noth Fla. is much more reasonable for beach area real estate . In this area 1MM will not even allow you to live on the intracoastal waterway. I would run some comps for that area and see if it is priced correctly. By the way if you deceide to move here I have a great house for sale in Ocean Ridge (just north of Delray beach) across from the ocean on 1/2 an acre, (it is a tear down) for $1,250,000.
