4 month challenge?

I posted the exact post in C&C but those guys over there weren't game. So...

I call all you mofos out right here for the 4 month challenge.

Light weight (145-160)
Welter (160-170)
Middle (170-185)
Light heavy (185-205)
And Heavy 205 plus

I'll go in the welterweight division (currently a buck 60.) Its a pose down bitches to see who can pack the most muscle and lose the most fat and basically look the best within 4 months. Who's up for this- or are you too chicken? It will start Dec 1st, so pictures are due by then and for the next 4 months you do what you gotta do. I am 160 now, I will try to be at 165+ by then. I don't care if youre natural or not, cuz I'm fucking beautiful and I'll take you all on. Lets do this shit! Any mods wanna be judges? :Chef: :artist:
 
I think your classes need amending (ten pounds ain't much variance, and 205+ is pretty vague - there are LOTS of guys on here well above 205). They should probably account for height as 240 at 6'3" and 5'8" look drastically different.

But I'd do it for sure. Anything that motivates and educates is gravy to me.
 
im down for it DEFINATELY... am on a major cutting and then bulking diet..
let's see if i can speed up the process..

Stats:
all natural

235pounds
(body fat unknow)

problem is im aiming for the 195pound area and then bulking up, i doubt i will get into that region by the end of the comp...
 
I would be interested in this but I am way too heavy for my weight and it's all beer belly fat.

I'm around 188-190 and should only be 160 tops 5'-6". I am way to small for the 190 class.

Currently I can only bench 135 5x (just started back at the gym 2 weeks ago)... 10 years ago when I was 18 I would do that for warmup and I only weighed 135- 140lbs (all natural). yes, I'm a sorry ass sack of shit right now.... :(


Also I think there should be a natural class and non natural class. For packing on muscle and cutting in a short time being natural is a lot harder.

I'll do it if DEC 1 is start date. Holidays are really gonna screw me. lol Oh well. I agree. A natty class and non natty-class. HAve two teers:

Natty Juicebox
5'3"-5'6" 5'3"-5"6'
5'6-5'9" 5'6"-5'9"
5'9-5'11" 5'9"-5-11"
6'-6'3" 6'-6-3"
6'3"+ 6'3"+

Use that with 15lb weight differences. That seems about fair?!
 
fuk yeah, sounds like a plan batman! im just 2 weeks into my cut. 220lbs, quite alot of fat! so this 4 month challenge is just what i need LETS GET THIS OOOOOOOOON!!!! :D
 
someone define the classes, though i think we should stick to 4-5 tops in both natural and not.

i'll get up a little website to put the before pictures on if we've got enough interested, so that non-plats can see them too.

it would likely be better to start on 1/1/06, both symbolically, and realistically. it's not a good time to do something like this through december with all the travelling people do.

i'm just getting on point with my diet, so i'll now be taking it pretty seriously. nothing like a little competition to get the motivation going! not to mention for most of us we'll be finishing right around when it starts to get nicer out.

i've already planned out a routine that i want to use and implement for this, and i'm going to try and get my buddy to join in for fun as he's been hitting the gym with me lately and wants to get bigger.

someone figure out the classes (i'm clueless) and i'll work out everything else if need be. maybe toss a countdown in the website too.

ya'll better be serious about this, because i don't want to be the only one with a massive transformation going on :chomp:

i'll work something out and see what everyone thinks...
 
Ok I'll do the challenge. I just started training hard again after elbow surgery? what do we need to do take some pics Dec 1st?
 
1st class <160lbs
2nd class 160-175
3rd class 175-190
4th class 190-205
5th class 205-220
6th class 220>

15lbs per class in the 4 middle classes
 
Those weight classes sound good.

Now for the rest, is it just by looks, or is actual size measurements and strength increases the goal?
 
depending on the number of people who enter (small as of now), we can have weight loss and gain compete. amount lost vs. amount gained. we need to establish a healthy average of each so we can work out the percentages for even judgement.

also, we should have measurements accompany pics for before AND after.


so focusing on physique, should people on a bulk be judged on size and strength increases, while people on a cut be judged on size and bf% losses?

i don't know what's realistic/safe for cutting, but the steady 1lb./week bulk is what i've heard be optimal.

should we have a set list of parameters?

i.e.,

BF%
Weight/height
Bulk/Cut
Measurements (which ones? arms, legs, waist, chest?)

so for a cut, whoever loses the most BF% while maintaining measurements, and for bulk, whoever increases measurements with the least BF% increase over the 4 month period sounds like a fair comparison.

opinions?
 
Forget the classes and gauge who gains/loses the most as a % of their starting bodyweight.

that will make it the easiest i think, i tend to over-complicate things...

though i'm not sure about starting in january. i'm at a point right now where i'm about to explode, and putting off any real gains until then for competitions sake detracts from my long term goals.

i guess i can just stick to conditioning work for the next month, but i'm pretty motivated to get this going...
 
let's jsut have the classes (whatever you are when you start. it think most ppl will be jumping some weight classes)

let's try for the following:
pics
estimated body composition (before/afters for: bodyweight, fat %age, muscle pounds gained/lost fat pounds gained/lost)

nothing elaborate just photos and basic stats
 
i'm down for whatever. i'll be tracking my progress anyways, so i'll just take pictures and measurements on whatever start/stop day. my diet should be pretty well in order before january anyways.
 
dang u can probly count me in on this so i can kick some ass and january 1st is a great day to start that way i should be almost done dieting and can bulk now all i gots to do is get a hold of a digital camera
 
So anything else you guys wanna finalize? Cuz like I said on the sticky at CC the deadline for pics is now Sunday cuz of my busy schedule.
 
I would also like to give this a shot, and its a great idea to get ready for spring ;-). I'm at 1 yr training now ~155-160 (fluctuates) natural. 3 more years of training before I get to touch the juice. I'll give all the scrawny guys a run for the money if I can!
 
ditto...when are pictures due? Because I have digital camera for my mom on Christmas that would be great for this. HAHA, wouldnt you know, my mom's christmas present is probably going to get used by me more than her.
 
I hope this thing gets up and running because this will definatly help me push myself to the limit. I will probly work out around 4 hours a day and try and gain around 50+ lbs. on all lifts

by goal i mean to gain or lose weight.

deadline doesn't matter much i guess, but get them in ASAP, and we'll officially start whenever you want. i've been completely out of the gym for this, and have been working on research for my diet, so i'm pretty pumped about this. good motivation.

i'll organize the pics and goals, and when we've decided we're starting we can go from there. taking before pics before we start is no biggie, that way i can e-mail you back and ask for your stats again at the time the challenge begins.

so again, get some before pics ASAP, send them to me, and when we start i'll reply asking for your stats. that way i can also e-mail you again when the contest is over asking for your final stats and new pics. sound good?

i don't think we need to get too complicated, but for personal gratification, feel free to send your measurements as well, and we can compare that as well when the time comes. i'm going to be affirmative and say scratch the classes, and we can go by percentage from starting weight to final weight, according to goals.


like i said, i've been out of the gym, and at my lowest weight in a couple months (163) so we've got at least one newb here for ya'll to compete against seeing if you can put your acquired knowledge to test against my uncanny newb gains! i got money i can put on at least 30lbs in 4 months, while keeping BF% close to starting point.

and to be fair, i'm going to finally use my free session at the gym to get measurements and BF% for before AND after.

let's get those pictures in people, stats are due when we decide to start, so work on that. a few weeks won't make a huge difference anyways, so just get them however you must.

sorry, but like i said, i have to wait until christmas...or at least the 17th if i use my gf's camera. PEople will send you the stuff. It's just human nature to wait until the last minute.
 
yeah, just gotta keep them aware.

i am starting tonight, and will proceed for 17 weeks until April 10, 2006.

i figure as long as we have pictures/stats, and a starting point, we're all in the same boat. i just have to get going on this. we'll close it on 1/1/06 (around there), and then we'll post pics/stats from before/after around May 1 or so.
 
I guess if everyone can just upload pics before Jan 1st to tinypic and link it, it will be great. Anything after can't be counted. I don't have a digital camera of my own, so I still gotta borrow or buy a disposable one.
 
yeah im in the same boat as those who don't have one my step sister threw it on the ground when she got mad a week after we bought it and crushed it to pieces
 
you guys can be more resourceful than that, in today's world, there has to be at least one or two people that won't mind taking your pictures for you!

i am starting the 1st of the year, i'm totally deconditioned right now, weighing in at 158.6 this morning, and dropping steadily. we'll see how fast it packs back on!!!
 
I'm in. Currently sitting at about 195 and 12% at 6', getting ready to clean bulk up to around 200-203 and then get shredded at 190-195. Should be able to complete the whole process in less than 4 months.

Took this week off to strategically decondition for a cycle of HST. I will be hitting the weights really fucking hard because I'm doing a 6xweek split this time around. Wish me luck (although I won't need it). My cutting cycle will likely be a DF 5x5.
 
156.6 this morning...

this is going to be interesting, one more week of being a bum before total transformation. :chomp:

yeah im gona go borrow a camera before the 1st so i will have them in by then. How do u loose weight over the hollidays thats all i do is eat and have not been able to go to the gym. So i gained weight, but its just fat.
 
I usually eat more junk, but sometimes i wonder if my calorie total is lower.

Anyway...I got back to town today and did legs. I should have pics by tomorrow. Who is uploading them again and where should they be emailed? Thanks!

i'll take 'em if you want to send 'em this way. i'm going to make a website for my progress, and will host the pictures for others if they wish.

as long as you get pics by the 1st, that's all that matters, but you can forward them to "[email protected]" and i'll take care of the rest.

i've held off on ANY excersise so far, and i'm at 158.2 as of this morning.

i've also quit the gym, and will be doing everything from home, with a borrowed weight bench. it's getting more and more exciting as the days go by!

I just found out about this! Can I still join it? I see there are only 4 sets of photos uploaded. I can have mine up on tinypic.com by tomorrow. I really want in.

I plan on cutting 6% bf then bulking up like 10 lbs lean.
