The average guy in the gym doesn't really know what he is doing, he just knows that he wants to change something. Most people just give up because change is hard. Working out takes time, dedication, and knowledge. Diet takes time, dedication, and knowledge. So does using steroids, or taking supplements.
I haven't been a member long, but i found this board about a year ago, and would periodically stumble upon it in searches and look around. I liked what I saw and then to my surprise i stumbled upon SublimeZM. He was my best friend when I was younger and that fact that he posted here and knew so much about lifting, diet, and gear; meant that he had to get that knowledge somewhere. I joined and learned that elite fitness is the kind of place where knowledge can be found. Its like the library of Alexandria when it comes to diet, gear, and lifting.
EF is the kind of place where the few people who choose to invest the time, and dedication to gain the knowledge about all the subjects in and around lifting come to continue to learn and share their information. The very few who press on and only want the best for themselves and others. You can come here without any knowledge but reading and posting on the boards are steps taken towards it. The members won't bullshit you, and they like to see success.
So thank you EF. I plan on being around for quite some time.
