335 x 18... I have failed

I only did 18 reps. NO way could I have done full 20, the last rep took me 5 seconds to lock out. I puked in the bathroom and then could barely hear things. FUll workout went like this

Deadlift -

135 x 8, 225 x 5, 315 x 4.......... 335 x 18!!!!!!1

Strict Shrugs -

225 x 10, 315 x 12, 315 x 14

Upright Rows Supersetted with Side Raises -

95 x 10 ss 20 x 10

Bent Press -

60 lb dumbell x 2 sets x 10 reps


Good workout
 
thanks bro. Keep practicing the deadlift.. I found that its fairly easy to progress in deadlift if you're below 300 max by just practicing the lift itself. It gets more difficult when you hit 400 lb park, then you have to focus on weak points

My friend got 365 x 25!!!!!!!!!! ON deadlift. Last rep he just dropped it, and everyone started staring. It was incredible
 
You didn't fail. You set the mark you need to beat. You did 18 today... next time you go for it you go for 1 more... then one more after that and you are at 20.

TO add insult to injury, as I was lying down in the locker, my partner kept screaming in my ear how weak i am that I didn't get the full 20

Unfortunately that tactic isn't going to work well with my deadlifts on Saturday (if the weight arrives! :mad: ), because you're so far ahead its not funny!

that is a good training partner...........GREAT JOB REV........I can hear you back growing
 
Great, but one question: why do people think it's hardcore or something if you puke during / after training? I train hard as well but never puke (which btw, is detrimental). Must be because I eat no sooner than 2 hours before working out.
 
congrats.... heck of a job, heck of partner, heck just plain ole good work.

but i hate the idea of puking. so much money and nutrients gone.......... darnit, now i have to put them back in.

Thank you everyone for support, would never go for this if not for this board. And yes, even after 5 grams of vitamin C, very sore :)

Did you do them straight reps? or paused after like 12 or so? or not paused really just slower?

I know you said you`re last one took 5 secs lol. damn
 
First 12 were done in about 30 seconds. Then my legs were gone. I was pulling it stiff legged style, screaming like an animal in a packed gym. Rep #17 got dizzy, got on my knees, got up, did one more. REp #18, got stuck halfway. Couldnt feel my legs or back,.. kept pulling and pulling, and shrugged it hard at the end. That was it for me. Ran to locker room
