365 fell today but not so sure i can count it. i missed 375 twice

i did 5x3 on raw bench with 250 before that . wasnt hard will go up 5 lbs next week

rows 4 sets. 135x10, 155x8, 185x8, 205x5

tri pushdowns 40 lbs less than entire stack x 15, 20lbs more for 18

hammer curls 35s x 12, 45s x 5

now..

a question for the benchers...

i arch and have my legs far back. if i try to pop my hips up my ass never really leaves the bench because of the angle of my legs makes it impossible. i get a really good boost from this. like on my 3 board i popped the hips and got some leg drive and it went up easy. then i couldnt do it for 375 and got crushed

cheating? incorrect form?
 
as long as you ass stays on the bench then there is no cheating. if your bouncing the bar or touch n go, i might say thats cheating. but if your pausing and your hips shove upward, but your butt never leaves the ground, then no foul.

plus on your tri ext...... all stacks are different, what weight did you use???

something to try, i bench the same way as you, is to try dringin your heels, down instead of trying to push up on the ball of your feet, drive your heels straight down, and pop your hips up..... this has helped me tremendously.

i agree w/ X! drivin your heels down pops the hips up make a big difference. tb
 
thanks a ton guys i'll try that next bench workout

exodus, the stack i was using goes up to high 100s to almost 200 i think. might be wrong
 
Good job Jeremy!

Regarding the weight for pushdowns, it doesn't really matter what the weight said. All those cable machines have different pulley systems, etc, so that it's impossible to compare. I've been to gyms where I did a full stack of 200 and others where I can barely get 150, and I'm nowhere near as strong as either of you (but I'm working on it :) ).
