2nd time.....wtf

This is the 2nd time now in over 100's of pokes that "my buddy" has a hard lump at the injection site and he is in extreme pain.
Last year my buddy injected testE in his quad and was crippled for about 1 week (extreme pain and swelling). After the week the swelling went away and everything was fine.
This time he injected winny in his delt and about 1-2 days later it really started to hurt and the area is slightly red and swollen and in about 7 days the body will probably just re-absorb everything again.

Proper precautions were taken (new needle, wiping down with alcohol...etc). For both times the actual injection went fine.

What is causing this swelling and pain? I am not talking about the normal 1-2 days pain but rather crippling pain where you cant move your arm or leg.

I was in a similar situation last week. I injected oil+water in the same poke. I had a massive lump which completely crippled me - thought it was an abcess. Lasted 3 days. I went to bed at night in mega pain, I woke up and it was completely fine.

The main concern is an absess which is an infection which fills with puss and needs lancing and if left too long, cutting out. Signs would be redness and a lot of heat coming from the area+ flue like symptoms. Sometimes you will be able to see a head on it, similar to a pimple. If these symptoms are there, head to the docs. tell the doc he was injecting vitamen B12.

He probably hit a vein/ nerve in which case it will deal with itself.

could be trouble. keep a close watch. if it starts streaking or you start running a temperature get to the er quick. those things get out of control very fast.

There is no heat, only feels hard and there is flu like symptoms (hot-cold flashes). I think it is also a case of hitting a vein/nerve

it is not red, just a hard lump where the injection was done like 4 days ago and arm is still in quite a bit of pain (very limited movement). There is some swelling but not too much. The fever-like symptoms have subsided also.

Sounds like a neve/ vein. If no redness probably not infected. However, dont let that be a reason not to go the docs bro - if he is really worried better safe than sorry. I would wait one more day.

water and oil do not mix. my very first injection ever i hit a vein in my delt, and it hurt like a motha for a week. Fucking fags i work with were hitting my delt for kicking ass in a pick up bball game, and i had to deck one of them.

I've had Test E cripple me before and people suggested it was the ba and to bake it and after I did I never had a problem again.
