25g vs 23g needle...scar tissue?

I'm wondering if needle size is the major contributor to the amount of scar tissue or is it more so about the technique? I find that I can keep the needle pretty straight on the right side, but sometimes angle it more on the left! What do you guys think?

I'd imagine that larger needles are naturally more prone to cause scar tissue.

not exactly more prone, its the frequency of the sites used that cause scare tissue, wether its a 29 gage or a 23, if you use a site over and over without proper healing scare tissue will form..take 7 days off from each site you use intbatween shots and you wont have any probs......

I don't have a problem at this moment but was curious as to what is the higher probability of cause, such as a larger needle vs a smaller needle or bad technique such as moving the needle while pressing

I was using 25's for a little while, but man does that take forever with deca or bold. I switched to 23's which are way better and got a trick that someone else posted on this site. Since I draw from a vial the entry into the 1 or 2 vials through the rubber dulls the needle. I have one needle just for drawing then I unscrew that one and put the fresh one onto the syringe. It feels much better. I don't know if this will reduce scarring, but it made the 23's feel like 25's.
