Hey guys,

I feel pretty overwhelmed with the array of supplements and the like that are clearly availible. I am 20 years old and have been working out (weights with a tiny bit of cardio) for around 5 months. I understand that there are people here who have been doing it for YEARS, but to be honest Im not that excited about my results so far...

I have been having a protein powder in a shake during/after my working - its cheap one I get from the gym I used to go to. But thats all. Can anyone point me to the kind of thing I should be taking? Any pointers at all!

cheers

Then you must have done something wrong cuz within 5 months I had great resultsI noticed it and so did everyone else! I was kinda tall and thin when I started working out the supplements that helped me out in the begining was; Weight gainer, protein shakes, creatine, aminos and ALOT of food, good food. All that with a swedish brand and for some reason I stumbled into www.needtobuildmuscle.net and now thats the place where I get all my supplements. He got some quality stuff at his site, everything is top notch. Check it out!

How does your diet look? most the time the diet is to blame on not gaining especially with in the first year or 2.

a multi v every day and a post w/o shake is all you need. your lack of success is most likely i diet problem. how bout laying out in detail a days food for us with times.

Diet bro. And give it some time. I started working out at your age, I was a dipstick, after 6 months I could really tell the results, to the point that I was getting pussy just for the reason that they saw me before and after. Along with good supplements, food is essential. The results will come.

Training hard with a good diet and 8 hours of deep sleep. If you are gonna take any supplement; go with creatine. My favorites creatine is chelated creatine, Green Mag by Controlled labs Controlled Labs Green MAGnitude, 1.83 Lbs. Controlled Labs Green MAGnitude, 1.83 Lbs [] - $36.95 : Orbit Nutrition . You do not need whey protein if you eat meat with each meal, meat is the most digestable source of protein and muti's are not necessary with a good diet.

these statements about creatine and a multi v contradict each other. how is it that you dont need a multi v with a "good diet?" yet you should use creatine which is also plentiful in a "good diet"

its only plentiful if your diet is high in fish and certain red meats.

it is easier to get a good amount of creatine from a quality bb diet than it is to get all of the helpful vitamins and minirals of a multi from the diet. its actually 2 or 3 times easier. 5 meals of 1/2 lb of an average variety of protein sources will give you 10g creatine. 5 meals of quality organic meats at 1/2 lb each will give you 15g creatine. if thats all you eat. there is also small amounts of creatine coming from other earea aswell. im not saying you must take a multi or creatine is a waste. any creatine mono is going to have its bennefits. i just buy the cheapest i can find when im looking. but the amount and variety of foods you would need to equal a good multi is rediculous.
