Canada is a wonderland. Too bad that 6 months of the year, it is a winter wonderland.
Right now until Septemper/October, it is an amazing time to be in Montreal. There is some sort of public festival going on almost every week. The people are friendly and the weather is going to be between 65-90 degrees. Right now, it is a sunny 77 degrees and all of the people are out an about.
The Gay Village in Montreal is second only to San Francisco. There are huge numbers of gay establishments and the rest of the Island is gay friendly.
Montreal is the most tolerant place in North America. Montreal is also a little piece of Europe in N. America. As long as you do not act like a loud and arrogant American, then everybody will be very happy to speak to you in English.
Is there anything else that you would like to know?

thanks, i know the food is awesome with the european influences. will for sure take a trip this this summer. chris and i don't do bars much but love outdoor stuff like boating, jet skiing etc. have heard clubs are wild and know some folks from canada and alla re great people. though they say about like a boat

There are tons of outdoor activites over here. Montrealers love the outdoors ( partly because of the short summer).
Everybody bikes or rollerblades. We also have thousands of lakes within 15-45 minutes of downtown. Renting a challet on a lake is relatively cheap.
You can bike on the mountain, too.
what is a challet? as far as hotel what are some of the first class ones? lakes have jet skiing? maybe at some time you can e mail me a list of great restaurants. [email protected]

Like bignate said, it is basically a cottage.
We have a great number of first class hotels. Most of them run about $250-$500 per night. one of them was totally rented out by the Rolling Stones when they came to play here.
Great restaurants are a dime a dozen, too. I will email you a list soon.
I am not 100% sure about the jetskis, because I am not a huge participant, but I will look into it. There are many places that have them, though.

thanks for the help. and just so you know i have a very happy life with chris. never been happier. we spend lots of time together as we are aslo great friends. true love can bring much happiness and love. bad relations can bring drama and resent. i am sure you will find the right girl when its time and be very happy being with someone. hopefully you will take us up on dinner and as you will see we are not only fun to be around but have class and you would never know either of us was gay.
