One, is there an efficient and sensible way to drain tuna without using any tools besides the can and can opener?

Two, am I fucking retarded?

No there is no other way that I've found that doesn't end up with the tuna spilled everywhere. But I have found that the tuna packets are ALOT better than the tuna in the can and you don't have to worry about draining.

I know I'm on your ignore but I thought you'd wanna know

when the can is open i just use both my thumbs to push all the water out...its a skill that you will eventually master...my first few times with chunk light i squirted it all over my pants for going too fast

I like the tuna in the pouch also for the "no draining" reason....

i always use a hand can opener go about 1/3 away around of the can flip over and squeeze out as much juice as possible. then go 2/3 of the way and flip and squeeze, then finish going around so the lid is loose and squeezing the remaineder out.

and yes ur retarded for not knowing how to open a can of tuna. u just order out all the time.

1. Poke a hole in it and put it on a burner until all of the liquid evaporates. Totally sensible.

2. If you're not retarded, I don't know what is.

I can't offer any advice for you, I tend to stay away from Tuna.

Your not retarded bro, just a Yankee fan.

do people actually drain their tuna another way? like with a friggin sieve or something? I dont get it. YOu use the can opener. You push the lid down while flipping can over. water comes out (or oil b/c we know KB is a skinny fat).

KB what is your typical technique?

I agree. Plus the smell alone of the crap when he drains it into my sink.even though he rinses, it still smells!

I just have always squeezed it out with the can lid. It never seemed too messy or difficult. I like the flavored ones in the pouches better now, anyway.

just dont take the lid completely off, then push back down and turnover(to drain)

Um yah.

Open it all the way or leave the top the slightest bit connected.

Drain liquid.

I like to run cold water over the can filling it back up with water and then drain it again - not in a rush do that twice.

Too bad tuna had soy in it - I used love tuna.
:(

A few times??? shit happens to me EVERYTIME!!!

I open it all the way, take the top off, put on floor, the cat licks out all the tuna juice, voila.. no juice tuna!

j/k.

Just don't hold the top down so hard. I'm not sure how you get it to squirt - that must take special skillz. I also tend to fill the can w/ water again and drain one more time to get the sodium and weird preservative stuff out a little more. HOwever the taste makes me gag these days so I also go for the pouch approach.

I switched to canned chicken/turkey specifically because it's easier to drain.

Nah. You're not retarded. . .you're just KB. :)

keep the lid on the can, push it down into the tuna and press the water our...

Always bound to lose some when you squeeze the water out. Buy the chunkier kind to limit that. I always just opened it and pushed the cover slightly into the can and drained it.

If it's not American Tuna, I'd rather eat a manwich.CHECK THIS OUT
it will chang your mind about the tast of tuna. no draining required. no salt added.... you can get it at Whole Foods and other natural food stores. its killer stuff

I don't use that thing, though.

I do like six cans at a time in a strainer and I rinse it off with water. Too much salt is added to cans of tuna.

I can't believe anyone finds draining tuna difficult...lol. Oh, wait, it's KB...j/k
