2 More Deadlift PR's and more on the way

5-11-04 Tuesday Back,Deadlifts and Abs

Today was my best back workout in a long time. I broke 2 PR's on both major deadlifts. The partial beast lift and partial deadlift. I got 575 on the partial deadlift from the rack. It was one of my longest lifts ever, but I made it lockout. Screamed my throat raw today. haha I also pulled 730 off the lowest setting on the rack, with the bar behind the legs, a beast lift. I lifted for over six hours I estimate and hit 39 sets, 33 of them for back alone. I had done about 15 sets of T-bar rows and chins before even starting the deadlifting. So not even fresh. I plan to hit 585 on the partial deads very soon and over 750 on the partial beast lifts as well. Felt very weak today, but I got pissed and drove thru the light headedness. The new "Speed Stack" without ephedrine is garbage, just makes me lightheaded.ThanX for the support! Heres the routine:

(6 or more hours) (192lbs on water only)

T-Bar Rows with Barbell:

35x20 (35lb plate on end of barbell)
70x15 (2 35's)
105x15
140x15
175x15 (5 35's)
210x6 (came loose from wall)
210x6
235x4 (6 35's and a 25)
210x7
175x15

Wide Grip Chin-ups:

15

Close Grip Chin-ups:

15 (underhanded) (chin-ups done at different parts of routine)

T-Bar Rows with barbell (again):

160x15
180x15
205x10 (4 45's and a 25lb plate)

Partial Deadlift: (lowest setting on power rack)

135x15
225x12
315x1
405x1
500x1
530x1
555x1
575x1 (Another 5lb PR)
585 (fail)

Clean and Jerk:

135x7 (first time trying the lift, fucking around)

Dumbell Curls:

65'sx6
55'sx5 (just having a little fun between sets)

Partial Beast Lifts: (a deadlift with the bar behind the legs, done off lowest setting on power rack)

585x1
635x1
675x1
700x1
730x1 (5lb PR, I almost got it a while ago, but the other side came loose)\
735 (fail)

Lat Pulldowns:

165x15
180x15

Abs:

Kneeling Rope Crunches:

190x15
190x15
190x15
190x15

:FRlol: :FRlol: :FRlol: :FRlol: ThanX brother! The pink dumbells have always been an important part of my failure training. In the following picture I take the pink dumbell to a land its never travelled to before! Complete muscular failure! Very dangerous as the weight falls from my grip and can render my legs useless. Here the one millioneth rep is shown as I struggle not only to complete the rep, but to stay alive as oxygen depletes from my body at an alarming rate! Christ its hot in here! TRAIN OR FUCKIN DIE!!

ThanX brother!! Appreciate the encouragement! Its obvious your training is working for you from your lifts! Training serves a dual purpose for me, achieving my size and strength goals (trying atleast) and venting some of my anxiety and rage. haha Without that vent, things would get ugly. When I was injured and had to watch myself smooth out and shrink it made me even more driven. So now Im enraged to get back!! Also, in my mind, I feel I really do need to train this way to progress. Ive built alot of endurance and tolerance for abuse over the years, and lesser sessions wouldnt seem to phase me. ThanX again for the encouragement!!!!

Man, I'd like to see you break for two months, then come back with less volume and time spent in the gym man. If you ever stall too much and don't wanna turn to gear, please, please try that. I'd like to see where it'd take you.

Not to say your methods don't work, because they're doing wonders for you my man. Congrats on the lifts. That picture of you holding the dumbbell is hilarious. You look like a giddy schoolgirl with that big smile you got on. Or are you screaming? :p

Either way, good going!

ThanX for the suggestions and encouragement brother! Unfortunately I tried your suggestion when I was injured. Not intentionally, but I had to lift light the second month and lay off for the first month. The results were very bad for me. If I take off more then a week I begin going downhill from there, in both strength and size, regardless of diet. Its months later and Im still fighting to get my chest strength back to where it was in december. A small lay off means alot of months of work just to get back for me. Id like to take a vacation from lifting at times, mainly eating, but if I do, Ill end up paying for it. Lower volume also has the same effect, since I have a high tolerance for abuse. ThanX for the compliments brother! Its really just the insane desire I have now thats driving me to get stronger and hopefully larger, more so then just the routine. If my mind wasnt in each set the volume would be pretty useless. The intensity is key, but at the same time I need enough sets to even illicit any type of response. I have been plateud in some of my measurements for a while, but I plan to change that in the next few years. ThanX again!

And yes...Im screaming as the oxygen is leaving my body.
