I've never competed in anything in my life. only 2 more event days till then too. gotta get busy. thanks clint. you are the man.

Good Luck at the contest kingc_79. Everyone has to have a first, if not just for the experience and what to expect next time around. Train hard and I'm sure you'll do great at yours.

Good Luck !!

What's the breakdown for the weight classes?
Where's the comp at?

He will be in the lightweight Novice class...which is first timers under 175 pounds. Mid goes up to 200 and anything over that is heavy I think.

The Open classes are 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, 300, SHW...but they break them down to light (225 and under), and heavy (226 and over).

The contest will be in Nashville, TN on June 14th.

did the events for the 1st time today for times and heres how it went. i know, they are slow, but 1st time, need to work on form.

Farmers--100lbs X 160' w/1 turn 23.41 sec
tire flip---550lbs X 60' 45.12(really need to work on this)
super yoke--400lbs X 80' 19.22
log press---140lbs - 4 reps for two sets

now that i know i can finish the events i need to work that time down.

have to work on tire even more b/c found out that it may be 80' instead. But i should have my tire in a couple days and i'm having the farmers and log made now and will be having yoke made soon as i get pic of good one.

Once you get proper equipment it will help a lot, plus it's great that you get to train w/Clint.

One of my training partners just built a log for us to use, and it's helping my log press a lot. Hopefully we'll soon have a full set of atlas stones to play with too, we should have some being poured for us now (fingers crossed).

I'll be competing in Nashville as well-- shoot me a PM and I'll keep a lookout for ya, good luck with the training.

I'm competing in the open lightweight, under 200lbs division. I started about 4 months ago, and my partners (the contest promoters) talked me into doing the open division instead of the novice for my 1st meet.

I'm <almost> where I want/need to be, so this will be interesting.

Good luck, see you in Nashvegas.

super yoke--400lbs x 80' 13.44
