Hi everyone,
I am new here. So I've been "googling" for tips and been reading as much info on this comp as I possibly can.
I will be entering my first figure comp in May 2009. I'm only 1 month away. I would like to get as many helpful tips as I possibly can for this competition.
I'm 5'0 110lbs 40 yrs old ... As far as bodyfat goes I used the 7 fold caliper measurements and it has me at around 11% bf.
Here were my exact measurements:
triceps: 7.5
Subscap: 5.8
midax: 5.5
umbilicus: 9.0
supiliac: 4.0
chest: 4.2
thigh: 10.5
I'm a little worried about my abs and thigh measurements since they are in the double digits. But I was wondering what is ideal measurements for women competing in the Figure competition? I can't find anything about this anywhere.
I also would like to know if judges really pay any attention to the glutes. Do they prefer glutes w/ creases or not? I have creases and am worried about that as well.
Supplements that I am taking are:
protein, creatine, multi vitamin, DIM, glutamine, arginine, and methoxybolic by APex which has querectin, tribulus and avena sativa extract.
Foods I eat are:
oatmeal, protein shakes, chicken, broccoli, veggie salads, homemade peanutbutter protein bars w/ no sugar (peanutbutter, oats, flaxseed meal, protein powder, extra light virgin olive oil, egg whites)
Here is a picture of me from about 2 weeks ago. Please give me feedback at where I should be at, how I look. am I even close to where I should be, etc..
I teach 4 spinning classes a week, lift weights 5-6 days a week 2 days are an hour lifting the rest are just using very heavy weights for 20-30 min.
My husband did his first bodybuilding competition last year and got 1st place. So I'm following in his footsteps but w/ smaller portions but I tend to cheat more than he did!!
