I bet he slammed her down really hard. Man that sucks for the girl and her family. The law is the law. Fourteen year old boys might no should be piledriving 6 year olds in any case.
We already talked this through on here I think.
In my opinion it is sad, but at the same time, when you are playing with someone (especially a child) and they start to cry, by 14 you should know it is too far.
If they bleed, then it is WAY too far. When they are unconscious and stop responding, by now there is CLEARLY a problem.
This boy was imitating wrestling moves on a crying, then bleeding, then unconscious girl without stopping.
He either intended to kill her, in which case he deserves the sentence, or he is too fucking stupid to know when a child is severrely hurt. If the latter is true, then keeping him out of society doesn;t bother me all that much.

I don't know about US law but here a person can only be convicted of murder if they met two conditions:-
1/ They had the 'actus reas' - guilty act, they killed the person(S)
2/ They had the 'mens reas' - guilty mind, they INTENDED to kill the person(s)
In court if condition 2 is not met the criminal prosecution service(CPS) will change the charge to either voluantary or involountary manslaugter.
We had a case a few years ago of the Jamie Bulger kills. Jamie was around 4. Two kids of 12 took him to a railway track and threw rocks at him until he was dead. They were detained at 'Her Majesty's Pleasue' (ie, indefinetly). They are 18 now and out of prison. The public outrage was so great that they had served about six years the crown took out injunctions to stop the press publishing their current photos, address details, etc.
It is widely believed that they are now living in Australia or even America under new identities.
My point... did this kid intend to kill the girl? If not this should be taken into consideration. Those Bulger killer sacks of shit should still be in prison.
BTW, In this country drunk drivers who kill in car 'accidents' get off with around 5 years.....

Too harsh... on the taxpayers. I can't believe I'm going to have to support this murderer for the rest of his life.
I hope someone imitates a few moves on him in jail. The "Atomic Assrape" sounds like a good place to start.
