130 kg vs 79 kg

for striking speed and timing
for grappling strength
but if you don't have some of the other no matter how much you have of the one side your still a crap fighter just waiting for someone with some tactics to own your ass

umm, accoring to that video an opponent that drops his guard and throws his whole bodyweight into your Kicks for you .

What, sour 'cause the little guy won? :D I just thought it was an interesting video to post. See, this is why I don't get into the verbal judo with you, lol.

Now shut up and gimme some K you big goon :supercool

WHat do I care who won ?

But the victory had nothing to do with Size it had to do with Basic Fundamentals !

The guy dropped his guard a LOT , and he payed for it ! I dont know what good being bigger than the other guy is if youre just going to slam your head into his shins for him ! In fact , I think its pretty funny tha he couldnt do something so SIMPLE !

Oh , and you DO realise that theyre BOTH lil tiny guys to me , right ?

I mean , Im 182 kg after all .

Even still , I wouldnt lead with my Chin in ANY fight !

Man Kaoklai is siiiiick. Might Mo got owned! I wish theyd show K1 here because I really want to see Mark Hunt and Lebanner and Cung Le, Kid Yamamoto fighting. Best strikers in the world are in K1.

I'd have to agree; from what I've seen of K1, some of those knockouts are just unreal, the power behind them. In the same area of that link I posted is a clip of a guy from K1, his name is Mike Zambidis. Check it out, he's a small dude, but packs a wicked punch.

I have always been a fan of timing, but strength and speed are essential too. and yes, without the basics, none of that means shit.

Yeah , but I wish that in Instances like this ppl would asociate me with the person that had good skill , not just size . For spme reason ppl seem to think that the two are Mutually exclusive .

I had a good friend, now deceased, who was about 6'6" and around 140kg. He was the most impressive tactition in a fight or in sparring. Fast, accurate and strong. He had been training since a teenager in Aikido, TKD and various combat styles through military friends, so had 20+ years of aquired skill.

Though many hulks may be slow, to believe they all are is definately foolish.

You drop with a throat chop too.

Size may not give protection, but the image can scare people into believing they cant win.

Training takes care of that insecurity.
